Funniest thing you’ve seen when driving?

I was sat a queue or traffic today and I a lady in the opposite direction wanted to turn right in front of me. Usually I try to leave space in this situation so people can turn right onto a different road but I hadn’t noticed as it was a private dirt road / driveway (my bad - please let me know if the rules about leaving space apply for private dirty roads / drives as it’s got me pondering!)

The woman looked visibly annoyed but that was diluted by the fact her whole face was painted like a Dalmatian’s 😂.

Pleas let me know your funny driving stories. :)

An albino squirrel. First time I nearly drove off the road! But have since found out there is a colony in our local area - seen about 4 or 5 now in 20 years!

I was waiting at a junction when a Ford Fiesta drove past with an odd looking dog in the passenger seat. When it got right in front of me I realised it was a calf.

I saw a car with three wheels. It was balancing and every now and then the missing wheel would touch the road causing sparks.

A field full of three piece suites all set up as they would be in a living room (sofa with an armchair at either end at an angle) just off the M25 about 25 years ago.

Like a PP, one day I stopped at traffic lights on the way to work and noticed a woman in the same make, model and colour of car as mine waiting on the opposite light. It happened regularly and we started catching each others eyes, then waving. Then I changed car and she no longer noticed me, but she has a personalised plate so even after 15 years and different cars for her I still notice her driving around our town sometimes.

Not particularly funny but odd.

Getting on tot he M6 toll, a van with a couple of blokes driving off the M6 but on the on side. I hope they did a 3 point turn rather than had driven the wrong way on the motorway.

There's a house near me with a narrow grass verge in front of a tall thick hedge. It's a single track lane to a spot popular with dog walkers and they've got a line of wooden posts along the edge of the verge to stop people driving or parking on the grass. One day I was passing and there was a car on its side jammed in the narrow gap between the posts and the hedge. Not a scratch or dent on it. The driver must have climbed out through the door on the top side.

When I lived in the Middle East, I was sat in traffic and had the feeling someone was watching me. I looked into the car next to me and a massive falcon was sat in the passenger seat looking directly at me. He didn’t look very impressed.

A kangaroo crossing the A505 at one in the morning . I was almost convinced I was hallucinating with tiredness , so pulled into the McDonald's to grab a coffee, and the car behind me pulled in as well , and parked next to me in the car park . I said to him "I'm not mad but did you see .. " and they said "the kangaroo ? Yes "

So we rang Cambridgeshire police , assured them that we weren't pissed and had seen a kangaroo crossing the road to which the operator replied " actually it's a wallaby " and informed us that apparently there are the odd few wild ones about . Who knew ??

I did also see a zebra in field, just before I got on to the M6, I've just remembered that one.

Years ago someone quite convincingly changed a road sign in a village near us to Netto, it stayed like that for quite a while and made me laugh whenever we drove through it.

DH and DS1 stopped at a crossing in town on the way to school, Jesus slowly crossed the road in front of them, carrying a massive wooden cross.

Sitting in the car at the front of the queue at the traffic lights/pelican crossing. An elderly gentleman starts to slowly cross the road using his zimmer frame. He gets half way across and the green man light switches to the red one. The man picks up his zimmer frame and virtually sprints across the remainder of the road.

On holiday in France, many years ago, and came across a man walking an elephant along the verge. We continued around the corner to see the circus but without context that was very odd.
