So in the real world I'm skint all the time. But I have a habit of saving my points rather than frittering them:

Boots £44
Tesco £75
Waterstones £30 plus 7/10 stamps
Costa 7/8 beans - 1 more for a free drink
MacDonald enough points for a veggie deluxe

I only have a tesco one, and it's got a 3.50 voucher in the app for me at the moment, I know I should save them up and convert them with the scheme, but they always end up being used regularly to bring the shopping down a couple of quid.

Daffodilsandtuplips · 26/02/2023 15:55

£20.00 on Boots Advantage card. I get extra point for being an old codger.
£24.00 Nectar points, mainly from shopping at Sainsbury’s but DH linked it to his eBay account which gives points every time he buy something on eBay.
£100 Tesco points.

reluctantbrit · 26/02/2023 15:56

£45 in Sainsbury but the are linked to BA/Avios and we are looking to book a flight at one point.

£11.50 Tesco - we just bought a hyprid so not filling up with petrol a lot anymore and as DD dropped a hobby we aren't near one for a larger shop on a weekly basis. We normally do tickets for Hever Castle or EH or similar with them. 2 years ago they paid for Wales Cadw membership

£8 Boots, I find they are quite expensive for everyday toileteries, I have a large Saver in the same area which is a lot cheaper. And I don't buy make up a lot anymore since hyprid working. But they just started selling Elemis, so it may go up again.

1 free drink and 6/8 beans for Costa. When I have two free drink I take DD for a coffee.

No idea about Waterstone, I spent the last voucher before Christmas, so can't be a lot. The loose out often to Amazon unfortunately as the postage is quite high and going to the nearest one is a time consuming journey.

I have £109 on boots, about £10 Tesco, £26 Sainsbury's.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 26/02/2023 18:52

What's the most anyone has on their Superdrug card? As soon as I get a pound on there they press me to take it off my bill, and I always cave and say yes. I reckon I'd have at least a tenner if I'd been stronger!

OneFrenchEgg · 26/02/2023 18:55

32 points - equals about 0.000001 pence I imagine! I decided to only use Boots so I could maximise points.

Not spent Nectar point since 2001.

Do they not expire?! That's serious self restraint!!

FunnyMunny · 26/02/2023 19:45

MinistryMelody · 26/02/2023 12:06

Not spent Nectar point since 2001.

I don't want to make you feel bad but you could have got double that value in the double up promotion Sainsbury's used to do before covid.
I've saved a few hundred quids worth of nectar points in the hope they'll bring the double up promotion back but doubt that it will happen.
Without that it's a fairly crappy scheme but I think they all are at this stage.

SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows · 26/02/2023 19:45

Boots not brilliant - less than £2
Asda - they really need to ask you at the till if you have the app. I keep forgetting so only have about £12
Tescos - over £90 as it’s 3 times the face value if you use the vouchers for days out etc
I think I have a little bit on Holland & Barrett & The Works

IncessantNameChanger · 26/02/2023 19:53

You need to spend some of Boots points before May or they get wiped too

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 26/02/2023 19:55

I had £13 on my boots card so when I bought some baby medicine recently used that and now have £4 or so. :(
I keep using my Tesco vouchers too so don't have any of them either..

LaRitournelle · 26/02/2023 20:00

I thought that you just had to have used your boots card once a year to not lose your points, not actually need to use the points up? Has it changed again?

Chickydoo · 26/02/2023 20:05

£270 in Tesco vouchers (some expire in May) if i x them by 3 for a special deal I can buy something fab (no idea what though)

£55 in boots points

Rainbowincoming · 26/02/2023 20:10

Not rich but have realised why as I have 14218 asda George points and it’s 1 point per pound so I’ve spent £14218 there over the last few years since they started the scheme

Crumpledstilstkin · 26/02/2023 20:17

I've got about 60,000 amex points and no clue how to use them. Anyone got any tips?

Also Quidco and Topcashback, about £100 in each, plus approx 50p in clubcard points because I spend them the second I have enough for a meal out.

Then the bloody boots points. I have had such difficulty collecting them after they never sent a card and won't let you use the one on the app in person. Still managed to get about £5 which I now can't spend because I still don't have the card so have to spend them online which means delivery costs as much as I save. Almost convinced it's just a racket at this point.

declutteringmymind · 26/02/2023 20:18

About £200 in Quidco
£35 in nectar

All of you that shop in boots get airtime rewards. You get 5 percent back to put against your mobile phone bill.

With Quidco and topcashback you just transfer to your bank account.

fruitandfibreg · 26/02/2023 20:33

I do awesome with boots points- last year I brought the biggest bottle of Chanel for £100 odd and then just brought the Clarins serum for £60 and eye make up remover for like £20. I love boots points!

Avios I managed to get 2 business class returns for £1000 to UAE and a ticket to Cyprus for £1!

Ive now got no points anywhere but made the most of them!

MinistryMelody · 26/02/2023 20:35

I realise it's odd having not spent my Nectar points for 20 years and having almost £800 worth. Bit I keep waiting for these deals where you can get more than the cash value of the points (like double up mentioned down thread). Last time I tried to use double up in sains, you could only spent a limited amount of points in one transaction (£80 I think) and the cost of stuff like kitchen equipment was way higher than normal so barely worth it. I just keep thinking if I hold on an amazing offer will appear, and after this long it feels like failure to just spend their "normal value" on my weekly shop.

When the double up was in place I used to simply buy the maximum value allowed in computer games.
At the end of the promotion I'd return the computer games and they'd give me a gift card with the doubled up value on it which I'd use to buy groceries.

TheAnonLawyer · 26/02/2023 21:12

I had enough Boots points 2 years ago to treat myself to a Dyson Airwrap.
I now have almost enough for a Dyson Hairdryer, so that'll be my summer treat.

OneFrenchEgg · 26/02/2023 21:54

@FunnyMunny I use the Boots app card in person all the time - they just scan it at the till?
