The flowering cherry tree I planted 2 years ago in the front garden. Prunus autumnalis...its been flowering since November.

The Cambrian Mountains and the River Wye. We’re very lucky.

We have a huge cypress tree in our back garden, which isn't the most aesthetically pleasing, however every other house seems to be cutting down their established trees and so our tree is home to squirrels, wood pigeons, other birds, and we get those plus blue tits, robins, magpies, starlings, finches coming to feed every day, plus the occasional kite and heron over head.

It fills me with a sense of well-being

I live in the middle of a golf course. It's a rural one where natural features (woodland, gorse, heather, streams) are preserved (no huge sand bunkers), so although it's managed it's essentially countryside. So a view of trees, birds and open green spaces. Punctuated occasionally by questionable golfing fashion statements Grin.

A beautiful Georgian market town right under our windows. ❤️ (Farnham)

mygrandchildrenrock · 25/02/2023 14:22

From the windows at the back of the house the North Sea, from the windows at the front of the house a park with a duck pond and boating lake. So water everywhere!

tuckedaway · 25/02/2023 14:34

From my loft I can see Epping Forest from the front window and Canary Wharf from the back window. I think that's quite cool!

PaulaPaola · 25/02/2023 14:37

I have three mature trees in my garden when there aren't many others nearby (suburban gardens).
From the landing window I can see the gothic spire of a nearby church.,

Itgoesalittlesomethinglikethis · 25/02/2023 14:39

Depending on which window, we have some moorland or a nice little fruit tree. I love some of these responses.

I work from a certain spot on my dining table where I can see my lovely garden from one side and the hill opposite my house through the big kitchen window on the other side. In the summer I can open the doors so I'm siting virtually in the garden and in the winter when it snows I can watch people sledging and snowboarding on the hill and then turn to watch the robins eating the food I leave out for them. It's lovely but I do wish I had a sea view. My parents have a view of rolling hills in France - sometimes the air is so clear they can see the pyrenees.

mac1974 · 25/02/2023 15:04

@Breadhead1 sorry not sorry! Brilliant idea isn't it.

Zipps · 25/02/2023 15:10

Out the front our motorcycles that have just been cleaned and polished.
Out the back, beyond our lovely garden there are lots of huge trees sloping down the hill, me and DH call it our rainforest.

Redlorryyellowlorryblue · 25/02/2023 15:13

We own a tiny bit of oak woodland. It’s my favourite bit of the garden

Cherrysoup · 25/02/2023 15:33

The flock of hedge sparrows having a dust bath by the pond. All the daffodil shoots coming up.

Johnisafckface · 25/02/2023 16:07

All the majestic trees in my back yard. It’s one of the main reasons I bought my house.

SeanMean · 25/02/2023 16:52

My gorgeous son and puppy playing together in the garden 😊

Ravensdale · 25/02/2023 17:04

A trendy north London yoga studio. We have a direct view into one of the studios! No greenery anywhere in sight.

Tidsleytiddy · 25/02/2023 17:12

A nest the magpies have made at the top of a tree

tregunamekoidestrecorumsatisdee · 25/02/2023 17:12

The sea, a beautiful golf course, a row of cute terrace houses with beautiful gardens. All from different windows

0o0o0o0 · 25/02/2023 17:12

A sky bowl. Large bowl full of water that reflects the clouds.

technosausage · 25/02/2023 17:18

Longleat estate

JellyfishandShells · 25/02/2023 17:19

The row of 4 pretty yellow brick cottages opposite, early 19thC. They look back at our much duller red brick, late Victorian houses, north facing houses.

The whole road is a variety of styles on the opposite side, which used to form the edge of a village, looking out over fields. My side is the beginning of the block of roads of speculative building on those fields, which happened when the railway came to this part of the London suburbs.

Xiaoxiong · 25/02/2023 17:39

A Grade I listed building that is just beautiful. I have looked at it almost daily for years and I hope I never get tired of it or take it for granted! It is such a miracle of history and every time I feel a bit down about the world I look at it and marvel at the history it has seen.

TheDogsMother · 25/02/2023 17:40

Beautiful sunsets and night skys. In the day time the South Downs in the distance.

Nellieinthebarn · 25/02/2023 17:43

My forsythia is just coming out.

Shannith · 25/02/2023 17:48

VenusClapTrap · 25/02/2023 11:08

South Downs here too @bussteward ! Also a medieval church and the village High Street, which is pretty.

I can see High Weald and downs here from upstairs. And beautiful sunsets as I face west.
