A huge magnolia tree in our front garden, paddock directly across the road and beyond that is the woods.

NewNameForXmas · 25/02/2023 11:54

A stream, some cows, and a castle.

SomersetBrie · 25/02/2023 11:55

Can't see it now but we do get a lovely sunset out the front window.
Otherwise it's mainly parked cars and street.

YouNeverCanTellWithBees · 25/02/2023 11:58

Field with horses over the road

Out the back windows, a boarded up carpet shop, and then out front windows is an old building site that's been like that for about 8 years now! But in the distance some hills and trees which is nice if you cancel out the building site!

Poppingwatermelons · 25/02/2023 12:04

I live very rural in the Scottish Highlands. Beautiful hills from the back windows with a standing cairn at the top. The sea from the front and side views.

amberedover · 25/02/2023 12:05

The blue sky and white clouds.

billysboy · 25/02/2023 12:06

watching 5 roe deer happily grazing on the grass about 50 yards away

Theresacatonmylap · 25/02/2023 12:09

A row of wheelie bins and a bus.

cobblers123 · 25/02/2023 12:12

At the end of the front garden to the left, yachts on the water and the golf course opposite. Never fail to enjoy that view as I put the rubbish into the bins.

Phos · 25/02/2023 12:13

4 beautiful horses who live in the field opposite.

Eyesopenwideawake · 25/02/2023 12:15

My horses.

This thread is making me want to follow my dream and move house for a sea view. We live opposite a school and used to be able to see all the way down to the woods at the bottom of the school field but they have put a massive metal fence and gates up, a great big yellow Surestart sign, and an enormous poly tunnel for the animals and extended the nursery right in front of us. The local housing trust have demolished the garages behind us and built on the plot cutting off my view of the distant hills. I have sort of got used to it but feel quite hemmed in sometimes.
I would have to leave DH behind because he says he's leaving here in a box (he's barely left the house since he retired) and my DS, DIL and 18m old GD who live next door.
What to do, what to do.
I might buy a motorhome and clear off by myself.

Scalottia · 25/02/2023 12:16

Alps and fields!

Heaviestdirtyestsoul · 25/02/2023 12:16

Roseberry topping, captain cooks monument and some of the Cleveland way

SmudgeButt · 25/02/2023 12:19

The american sweet gum tree in front of our neighbours house. We have a big velux window in our bedroom and can lay in bed and see the tree, the birds in it, the greening leaves. It's starting to fill with noisy thrushes and others which mean we'll get the full morning chorus soon - so a delight for the eyes and and ears even if it's noisy earlier and earlier. During first shut down of covid I took photos of it every morning through the spring showing the lovely progression of leaves growing.

MrsMontyD · 25/02/2023 12:20

A lovely church spire and my spring bulbs starting to flower.

mamabear715 · 25/02/2023 12:21

Lots of trees at the front. My cute little garden at the back. Lots & lots of different birds, squirrels, bats etc, & twinkly city lights at night (we're on a hill!)

SmudgeButt · 25/02/2023 12:22

At night we have a sky full of stars, watch the full moon get caught in the tree and often see a variety of animals - foxes most nights but hedgehogs and last summer badgers! Not bad considering we're in a city, granted close to the edge with fields about half a mile away.
