My dc don't believe me that this is an actual word! And tbf to them, it's not one I hear much anymore. Just wondering how widely known it is.

I'm Welsh and not heard of that. Though I did have to do this exact thing with my brother about the word "cree" as DD refused to believe I hadn't made it up.

I have to clarify based on this link that this isn't the restaurant I was referring to when I said I knew the owners. There's another Ansh in Cardiff that's much smaller in profile and has Indian based menus. Ignore my previous post, sorry :)
It's still not anch though 😅
