Run of the mill foods that you just can’t stomach?

What’s your ‘normal’ run of the mill for that you just can’t?

I’ll go first…

warmed tuna, like tuna tomato pasta or a tuna melt… anything with warm tuna is a hard pass.

mystery meat, like frankfurters etc, i could never eat a hot dog, and those hot dogs that you see in jars Vom.com

MurderSheSpoke · 19/02/2023 21:12

I forgot tomato ketchup and brown sauce 🤢

Letsnotargue · 19/02/2023 21:14

Biscuit base, like on cheesecake. Yuck. I can eat the rest of the cheesecake, but not the base. Even the thought of it makes me want to throw up. Often appears on banoffee pie, key lime pie etc. as a nasty surprise. If it’s a pastry base, or a thin sponge base I’m super happy!

Yes to goats cheese. It’s like eating while nuzzling a goat. I like goats, but I don’t want to smell like one. All other cheeses are fine.

mrsanflowerpot · 19/02/2023 21:21

Baked beans, bananas, anything crunchy touching wet stuff (im strange I know!)

SuperGinger · 19/02/2023 21:24

Eggs, never liked them although when pregnant I craved scrambled egg one day and they were delicious but it was a one off.

I also struggle with chicken it's boring and birds are just so gross all that avian flu and mites etc.

Cod - seen too many cod worms 🪱 yuck!

newtb · 19/02/2023 21:27

Egg and chips, just can't stomach them together.

LaBelleSauvage123 · 19/02/2023 21:27

Hot milk
Have recently gone off eggs completely

Ohifyouinsist · 19/02/2023 21:27

Oranges. Love the taste, but the membrane and pith make me heave.

Apparently I was sick as a very young child the first time I tried to eat a piece, so maybe it's related to that.

BigFishontheTelly · 19/02/2023 20:37

Bananas make me gag.

Bananas should be illegal.

JaneJeffer · 19/02/2023 21:29

Trifle - all those different things slopped together. Yuck.

Samcro · 19/02/2023 21:31

Parsnips
sneaky fuckers hide in plain sight pretending to be roast potatoes.
caught me out once, made me retch.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 19/02/2023 21:31

Mint sauce or mint jelly. Dh loves both. Like mint flavoured chocolate though.

Teenagelament · 19/02/2023 21:31

Anything strawberry flavoured. And croissants!

MurderSheSpoke · 19/02/2023 21:32

MajesticWhine · 19/02/2023 21:01

'Fresh' soup in plastic cartons. Especially lumpy ones. Like bowls of vomit.
I don't mind tinned soup or homemade, I know it makes no sense.

I'm like this but with tinned soup. It has a smell and is always a bit slimy.

usedtobeboss3 · 19/02/2023 21:32

Pineapple - I can't even get close to it, the smell makes me feel ill.
Also bananas, but less vehemently so.
And I'd love to like them both!

blueyislife1 · 19/02/2023 21:33

Mayo and butter. Can't stand either, makes me feel physically ill.

Makes sandwich buying difficult though!

thegrandolddukeofpork · 19/02/2023 21:34

Goats cheese
Portabella mushrooms
Avocado - it’s like wet green toilet paper
Sultanas, dates, raisins
Cream of anything soup
Fruit in anything, like cakes or chocolate
Nuts
Dark chocolate
Not sure if this counts but can everywhere please stop putting chocolate on cappuccinos, who orders a coffee and thinks mmm I wish every sip would taste like cheap chocolate powder

PieonaBarm · 19/02/2023 21:34

Bananas. Awful, rancid things.
Fat on meat - particularly crackling on pork
Ketchup and brown sauce
Poached/boiled/fried eggs scrambled are ok but I have to be "in the mood" for them
Hot dogs
Oysters

Mum2jenny · 19/02/2023 21:35

Tuna and goats cheese

FavouriteSlippers · 19/02/2023 21:35

DrMadelineMaxwell · 19/02/2023 21:36

LeandraDear · 19/02/2023 21:36

Melon. Hate it!

TomatoSandwiches · 19/02/2023 21:36

Yogurts with bits in, mostly fruit bits, no thank you.
Jelly, anything with a jelly like texture, so aspic in pork pies..... flan, excuse me..

nothingmoreatthemo · 19/02/2023 21:36

HoldingTheDoor · 19/02/2023 20:37

Milk when it isn't straight from the fridge.

Raw and pieces of cooked tomatoes. They make me retch. I love tomato based sauces though.

Coleslaw. Even the word and the sight of it makes me feel ill. I couldn't take a bite of it for a million pounds.

@HoldingTheDoor I just always hear it as 'cold sore'. Why would anyone want to eat a cold sore? 😂
