Well that was one hell of an impulse spend

I've just been to the dentist. Check up, all good, £23 on the NHS.

But the dentist did a brilliant job of up selling and I seem also to have spent £230 on being fitted for teeth whitening trays and that's only half of the total cost!

I might buy a sports car tomorrow 😆

Went to buy socks at M&S, came home with a 300 pound (in 2001!) leather trenchcoat. I think the vibe I was aiming for was The Matrix but I looked more like the Gestapo guy from Allo Allo.

Sounds like my DH trying to channel his inner Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys in the same era. The end result was more Herr Flick 😁

Erm... nope. They are either entirely private or do take NHS patients but their waiting list is closed at the moment.

Well you are still ahead I reckon as my last trip was over 60 for a check up and a couple of hundred for 2 fillings and 80 for hygienist which seemed to be billed as almost compulsory. No NHS dentists here nowadays.

I'd call 111 and tell them you need to see a dentist but can't afford private and ask them to help you. I hope you get it sorted, it's not right you can't see a dentist.

It's a bit hazy but from memory she went with her mum to go specifically sofa shopping
Driving there she saw a sign about a donkey. And forgot about the sofa and bought the donkey instead
She already has horses, sheep, a house goat, cats and dogs so it wasn't too unusual

Yeah he always tells me I need to book for the hygienist - the hygienist always tells me my teeth are fine and she’s not sure why he’s asked me to book. But she still manages to spend 30 mins tinkering away. I also have an NHS dentist as do my kids!

Went for a wander round the charity shops on holiday in the UK and bought a dresser. arranged to have it delivered home 4 days later.

I was walking to the nearest bus stop to get my nails done and walked past the local car showroom and purchased a first-time owner Ford Zetec! I couldn't pick it up for another three months cause after this time; it could be sold as used.

My friend is a dental hygienist.
She saved me £300 from the dentist 'teeth whitening offer'
Bought trays off Amazon for £9 , did it myself really easily, you just put them in hot water and mould them in your mouth. They fit perfectly, then I bought the whitening gel from the dentist at £30!
Hygienist friend says they're so overpriced at dentist with a big mark up and it's an unbelievable rip off that so many people's fail to research.
( Sorry that's no help to you op but maybe anyone thinking about it in future)

I bought myself that for my birthday and it is worth it! They’re so so much whiter.

Not a purchase as such but I went for a cup of tea with an old school friend and came home with a dog and two cats! We’ve sadly lost both cats now, but our dog is 17 1/2 and still going strong 11 years later! To be fair this is how all pets join my household- I’m a soft touch!

I had teeth whitening... at least I bought the stuff but I struggled to complete the course due the excruciating pain I'd wake up in!

@ihatewinter2 I got these, not from this seller but the same set. I did mush up the first one as my water was too hot and it stuck to itself, however I'm still using the next two i did and I've had them almost two years now. They're also cheap enough if you do mess up to get more 😀
Definitely worth a try though before maybe forking out a fortune for dentist ones.
