Lion King, Les Mis, or Mousetrap?

Or something else?

DH and I are planning a special treat - a night in London and a theatre trip. We don't mind if it is a musical or play.
What would you recommend?

Les Mis. I hated Lion King, and was very disappointed by Mousetrap - I was really looking forward to it as I love Christie, but it felt like a farce version of a serious play to me. Les Mia is amazing though, I could watch it over and over again.

Back to the future is phenomenal. As is Jersey Boys.

Personally I was disappointed in Lion King after all the hype. Can't comment on the rest.

I'm so glad I opened this thread. I'm seeing Back to the Future for my birthday.

@Arewenearly oh it's brilliant you won't be disappointed!

The woman in Black.

The first half of lion king is great but second half is painfully long with all the best bits behind you.

Mousetrap is amazing but it's quite small, I loved it, but for a special trip I'd go for a bigger show.

Never heard a bad word said about Wicked.

I really don’t get the Les Mis love, went we three friends and we all hated it. I think it’s one of those you either love or hate.

Good choice OP, Les Mis is amazing, the other choices don't compare.

@Arewenearly youre going to love it! I had tears streaming down my face at the end and im normally pretty hard about that sort of thing

Lion king is great but in my opinion its more to take children to . Les mis is great . Mouse trap isn't a musical - I know that obvious but to me the music is such a big part ! If I was in London I'd watch the Temptations musical - but we love their music I've also seen Jersey boys and that is brilliant.

Did you enjoy Les Mis? I went last night and it was spine tingling. The third time for me 😊

Absolutely wonderful singing! Not quite opera but definitely much better than your average 'pop' musical.
We had a wonderful great weekend.
