How do you have pyjama day?

Do you just stay in the PJs you woke up in? Or do you shower and change into fresh PJs? I do the first, but then by the evening I feel skanky, and it sort of undoes all the relaxation effect of having a pyjama day.

I sleep in a nightie and change into fleecy or jersey trousers and top for a lazy day. I don’t wear knickers in bed but must wear them in day time.

If someone wanted to torture me, they would make me have a "pyjama day".

I don't own any pyjamas because they ought to be banned, but if I did, I wouldn't wear them during the day for any money. Daytime is for getting up and dressed and doing stuff and going out and about, not for slopping around.

If someone asked whether I would wear the same clothes during the day that I would sleep in at night, I would say a big fat no.

I'm no expert (I wish I was, I'd love more PJ days!) but the ones I've had: generally I'll have a shower maybe around lunchtime / early afternoon, fresh underwear and PJs, otherwise I'll feel grubby

Aphrathestorm · 15/02/2023 21:18

I sleep naked so I put pjs on then stay in them all day then take them off to sleep in.

Ha! Definitely!

I get up, shower and put on 'lounge wear' if I'm staying in all day. This might be joggers and a T-shirt, or maybe running leggings and a hoodie, or some clean PJs. Depends on the weather and the likelihood of my having to nip out to the car / shop.

I would love to know how to get a pyjama day. I always have stuff that I need to do. What’s the secret to getting one?

The secret is not caring too much about chores. The dust will still be there to vacuum tomorrow, and we can have sandwiches/fishfingers/takeaway for dinner. And so on. If there's something you want to do around the house, or with your OH out the dc, do you really have to be fully dressed to do it?

Get out of bed around 10am, have some breaky and watch tv. Then shower maybe around midday and put clean comfies on and back to the sofa for the rest of the day.

I feel like I should admit this but this is literally what I do almost every weekend 😂

StickofVeg · 15/02/2023 22:17

I either get up, have a shower and put on fresh PJs or stay in them and have a long bath layer on.
