Pretend you are about 2/3 of a ball of yarn...

I want you so I can make an amigurumi cucumber - you're the best colour I have for it, otherwise the cucumber will be bright green.

You're not in with my yarn stash(es) scattered about the place, not with any other crafty things, not in with dd1's yarn and hooks, not in with the yarn for the blanket I'm making.

Where tf have I put you?? Clearly it must be a very safe place 🙄

Handbag or tote bag that you use to take your crochet/knitting out of the house/on holiday.

In a junk drawer, you grabbed it when you needed a small amount of string for another thing like typing a plant to a stake or attaching birthday balloons together but didnt have any of the right kind of string.

@Bluevelvetsofa I would do but I need to make the cucumber and then a head of brocolli by Tuesday for a display at work & it might not arrive in time 🤔

I've had the sofa moved out recently ish to move more crafting things & used crochet thread for birthday balloons because it was out.

It's really annoying me. I can picture it, wrapped back up in its band, with a hair clip to hold the end and band in place 🙄

Ah yes!

Do you have a child who thinks that when you say "this stuff is mine, don't use it for crafts/den building/slime creations" you actually mean 'here child, take whatever you like, whenever you like and then abandon it in random places around the house in various states of used'.

Hmm, the first third will undoubtedly have been something dd2 has taken posession of - I suspect a dino! Although I'm sure the dino was aran and not dk.

I'll have to pop up and look, maybe it will jog my memory.

If you have a cat, you were secreted down the back of the drawers where you were stored. The cat shimmied into the back panel and climbed up the back of the drawers to get into the nest where the yarn was so safely sleeping. You are now covered in saliva and dust underneath a large appliance.

I really want to see this perfect cucumber yarn when it is found. Or at least get a brand and color way.

@Ponderingwindow it was Deramores Malachite. The other greens I have are either too blue-y green, or very bright. This one wouldn't have been "perfect" but possibly better than the Stylecraft one I'm going to use (grass green, I think. I'd have to rummage for the band for it to check)

Not in my sock drawer -I put away clean socks this morning.

Ok, I give up and am going to go with Cygnet "Bottle" I think, and hope it arrives so I can make the cucumber before Tuesday. I don't like the grass green for a cucumber
