Do you still have your wedding pictures up?

And if so how long have you been married? Will you ever replace them or take them down?

OP posts:
HeddaGarbled · 04/02/2023 22:12

No. Married 35 years. We did have one up for a few years, but we both looked ridiculous so we were happy to get rid of it when we moved house.

Rockingcloggs · 04/02/2023 22:13

Yes, just the one in our bedroom. Been married 17 years.

TenoringBehind · 04/02/2023 22:28

Never had one up. I don’t want to look at pictures of myself.

Married 12 years now, never had a wedding photo up. I don't like how I look in them so never wanted to.

Bit surprised that so many people have them up - clearly we are all different!

MyMachineAndMe · 04/02/2023 22:29

Married 10 years and there's a small one in a frame on the shelf above the door and another in a magnetic poster frame on the fridge door.

We've been married 9 years and I do not own a single wedding photo, let alone have any up in the house!

Same, I just never really got around to getting them printed. I have the memories! We don’t have any other photos “up” either, we have art on the walls. Photos on my phone. Married 14 years, together ten years before that.

TruthRevolution · 04/02/2023 22:35

No, none at all. Together 22 years and married for16.

Wedding album has been at my parents house since we were married too. It feels like it would be bad luck to have it home now 😁

RobinStrike · 04/02/2023 22:36

Yes. One of us with immediate family on both sides. Nice to see both families together in one pic. Married 35 years. It's getting a bit faded

Thenewsisnext · 04/02/2023 22:38

One, hidden away, album under the bed never looked at. Been very happily married for over 20 years!

ItisallPooh · 04/02/2023 22:38

Yes, quite a few! I love the candid happy shots of family members that are no longer around. From where I'm sitting in the living room I can see 4 photos. One traditional just us, one of our first dance, one of the dance floor filled with our family dancing and one of my grandparents deep in conversation with Dh's grandparents.
I love photos though. I also have lots of photos of my sister's wedding last year, previous holidays and loads of the kids at different ages.

AcrossthePond55 · 04/02/2023 22:40

Married 35 years and no. We had one in the bedroom after we were first married but put it away a few years later when we moved and just never got it back out. We never had any in the living room.

TheDogsMother · 04/02/2023 22:40

We have two photos in the living room and three in the bedroom. Married 2.5 years, together 16 years.

Dilbertian · 04/02/2023 22:45

5 in 2 rooms. None big or particularly prominent. One of dh and me, one of my parents, one of his (so they're really pics of them, rather than of our wedding), and a casual one of all our guests. The guests pic is in a reversible frame, and on the other side is a pic of just our hands holding each other tightly. Yeah, I know, hopeless romantic 😄

Married 23 years.

FlimFlamBam · 04/02/2023 22:50

We did but it got put away at some point when we decorated, in fact I just realised the group photo with children is also missing. Better find them. Married almost 25 years.

UsingChangeofName · 04/02/2023 22:50

Yes, and 30 years

A couple in fact - one where we have a shelf of wedding photos (incl my parents., my siblings, my SiL) and so it includes one of us, as a couple.
Then one of us with dh's parents and siblings as it is one of very few photos they've ever had altogether, and is a nice family photo, which just happens to have me in my wedding dress on it.

SingingSands · 04/02/2023 22:57

Been married 18 years and never had any wedding photos on display. To be honest, with the gift of hindsight, I wish I'd never bothered with professional photos.

QueryA · 04/02/2023 23:02

A wall frame in our sitting room with 3 from our wedding in it. One 10x8 and two 5x7 . Married 16 years next week.

I also have a few family pictures of them on their wedding days in my hall. My sister her husband. My brother and his wife. My mum and dad. My Bil and his wife. Don’t have one up of mil and pil but might add one as they have now passed and we have inherited a huge number of photos . 😀

TiffanyBean · 04/02/2023 23:12

We’ve been married over 15 years now and only got round to putting ours up last year!

reluctantbrit · 04/02/2023 23:18

We have one up, on the landing to the loft in a multi-photo frame of DH and me during various stages of our life.

I don't like lots of photos on display, we have a similar frame with photos of us incl. DD in the hallway downstairs, a photo of our wedding in a frame in the living room would be creepy for me.

Fizbosshoes · 04/02/2023 23:26

We've been married 20 years this year and we have 1 wedding photo up. We have very few other pics up. (We have one of each child that gets updated every few years and one other more casual pre-wedding pic of ourselves)
IL have a wedding pic of me and DH with his side of the family, they also have his siblings wedding pics up.

TheFallenMadonna · 04/02/2023 23:30

Yes. A small (6" x 4") black and white one taken by a friend on the mantlepiece in the living room, and a slightly more formal one in our bedroom, next to one of us on our first date. Married 22 years. I love family photos though, and have a house full. I have frames with snapshots of every holiday we have been on since our honeymoon, and I love glancing at them and seeing our children grow up (and us grow older!).

Cocolapew · 04/02/2023 23:31

Been married 27 years and never had one on display.

weegiemum · 04/02/2023 23:32

One small one in a frame on our bookshelf in the lounge. Casual black and white snap that bil took. Married 28 years!

TigerDroveAgain · 04/02/2023 23:33

No, married 25 years: we don't have any photos on display, bit cringe in my view

Elphame · 04/02/2023 23:34

Yes - still up but gone rather a funny colour now. Been married to DP for 39 years
