Don't know what to do about this poo

I came home from work (nhs) where I work 6 days a week due to staff shortages to find Bout 3 bucketloads of animal poo emptied outside my house.
I have no enemies and good relations with all my neighbours. My front garden is a bit of a mess because I have been working such long hours but I'd planned to sort it out next week when I'm on annual leave.
Surely no one would be petty enough to dump poo because my garden is untidy?
Iive in a sma culture de sac with neighbours who are my age or older. 60's.
I feel disgusted and threatened as I live on my own. I dont know if I should call the local police.

If the neighbours know you have cats, and they find cat poo in their garden, they might assume it’s your cats.
Do you park on the road, perhaps in front of someone’s house where they might take offence, or on your drive ?
Im trying to think of the petty things neighbours fall out about.

I was going to sya the same thing about cats.

The whole (stupid) rhetoric of 'your cats poo in our garden, how do. You like dog poo in yours?'.

Which of course is ridiculous and threatening.

Was it dumped on your garden or on the pavement in front of your garden?
Have you parked in someone's 'space' and the perpetrator is riled?
I think I'd contact the police. There's some seriously weird people out there.

What is wrong with some people? Like those posters who suggest smearing excrement on the door handles of cars parked incorrectly. This is disgusting. Definitely report it to the police.

There is no excuse for this kind of behaviour. It's bullying and intimidation. The OP is wondering what it's about which suggests that whoever has done it doesn't have the balls to speak with her about whatever their issue is. What a cowardly act.

I more intrigued that you haven't heard of a ring doorbell! That's like not hearing of an iphone! Unless maybe you live somewhere other than the UK where they're not common?

I park in my own garage. My cats don't go out there is literally no reason why I should be targeted. My angry ex lives 600 miles away and has a new life. The only thing I can think of is I have a black cat and there are three other black cats who wander. Someone might think it's mine as she sits looking out of the window in plain view a lot. But still no excuse. Because I'm a single lady people think it's OK to bully me.
I've ordered a video camera and an electrician is coming to fit it for me.
Once I've got video evidence I'll go to the police.

I only recently heard of a ring doorbell ( honestly I just thought it was another name for a doorbell-they all ring). I have no idea what they do except show a picture somewhere.

So sorry this has happened to you OP. I would still report this to the police even though you don't have evidence of it. It will put you on their radar, so to speak, and help build up a picture if anything else happens.
