Excuse my ignorance, but just wondered what this topic is about- reuniting long lost toys with their owners? Please enlighten me- and I may be able to contribute!

Hi,

I was a toy at St Jermey's Nursery School in 1962. I just wondered if there were any other toys from that School around that I used to know. Anyone remember me -- the one-eyed teddy with the knitted orange trousers?

I'm in a dump in Chiswick now. I'll upload some pics later.

LOL @ Threadworm
But, seriously, what rosieyorkshirelass said.

If people lose their all important cuddlies or find one that they thing needs to be returned, they can pop it in here and we can hopefully help.

I left my pink doggie-shaped hot water bottle in a guest house in Fort William in 1974.

Anyone found it?

I know it's not the same, but can you claim on your house insurance?

Great idea, my son lost his very special 'dog' some yrs ago, and we had about a week of screaming at night and after about 20 new cuddly toys later he finally accepted a replacement. that was HELL.

my little girl has bonded with a velour rabbit from tesco, we made damn sure we bought another one once we realised this was 'the toy'!! we alternate them so they both look equal!! She has no idea there are two of them and of course as we are well prepared for the event of loss it has never happened!

kerryk · 07/02/2008 15:56

my dd lost her fave toy a year ago, it was a smallish bunny from adams (baby pink colour) and had really long skinny arms and legs. we have another 4 from the range including a giraffe and fairy but it was the rabbit she really loved

Just to let you all know I posted in AIBU asking AIBU to expect a hotel to post back DS teddy bear. They were not refusing but 5 days on still hadnt sent it back. Various people posted back and Flllightattendant posted in Chat appealing for someone who lived near the hotel to pick it up and send it back to DS. MrsMalamus did so and DS and Bear were reunited thanks to Mumsnet and kind people on here so I think this is a great topic.

strawberry · 09/02/2008 09:26

Well, does anyone remember me? Hmmmm?

strawberry · 09/02/2008 09:26

Not sure I even remember....

BexieID · 09/02/2008 09:26

Yeah, especially as DF ordered it from America. It wasn't really expensive though, but it was different.

jellies · 09/02/2008 09:29

I drove 4 hours back to wales tith a screaming 3 year old to rescue a bear from a service station loo! This is a fantastic idea!
