I decided to do a test today and thought I was probably being stupid and getting my hopes up but there it was after over 7 years of ttc it was positive.
I have of course done another 2 tests just to be sure 😂

Eek I just needed to tell someone. Husband is on a late shift and not home for at least another hour!

You've done your bit OP, and it wasn't meant to be that way, so here he comes. That's all that matters, he will be here very soon ❤️. Sending strength to you and your surgeon!

I've just read all your posts 🤗 What a heart-warming thread! Sorry things got a bit sticky in the last couple of months, and very happy you've been well looked after. Wishing you a straightforward section, a smooth recovery, and all the happiness with DS!

Tessabelle74 · 01/10/2023 08:14

Enjoy your snuggles later, this has been my favourite ever thread on Mumsnet! ❤️

SiouxsieSiouxStiletto · 01/10/2023 08:19

How lovely knowing that you will be holding your baby later.

I think this might be my favourite ever thread too WinkFlowers

Thinking of you O.P!
This is the loveliest thread ever! Best of luck and look forward to an update when you can x

ThomasinaLivesHere · 01/10/2023 08:34

A similar thing happened to me. I found the c-section much more comfortable and bearable than all the inductions. Best wishes ❤️

Mikki77 · 01/10/2023 09:00

Good luck mummy.
Thank you for keeping us all updated. Best thread ever ❤️🤞👍🏻🥰

Dontjudgeme101 · 01/10/2023 10:30

Good luck op. 💐💐💐

Elpheba · 01/10/2023 10:34

What a lovely thread. So heartwarming to read all your updates right through from January. Best of luck for today- he’ll be in your arms before long!

clopper · 01/10/2023 10:34

Hope all goes well. X lovely thread to read

Marcasite · 01/10/2023 11:15

Thanks for the update; I’m sure all will be well. My first baby was a planned Caesarean when a gynaecologist realised that our son was a breech presentation & we had 2 weeks to adjust to the idea. Any disappointment about not having a ‘natural’ delivery dissolves as soon as you see your newborn child. A safe delivery for you & your child is all that matters. 🤞🤞🙏 for you.

T1Dmama · 01/10/2023 11:19

I can’t believe how fast those months have gone.. I’ve loved reading all your updates and we all need such a heart warming thread..
Only advice is to make time for yourself after baby is here… you still need you time!

SweetSakura · 01/10/2023 11:19

Best wishes @SnowSnow I will be thinking of you today, Flowers . My son was born by caesarean and it was so beautiful, I hope yours is the same .

SnowSnow · 01/10/2023 11:35

Slight change of plan and the c section will be tomorrow morning instead. I’m ok with that as better to know now then wait all day before getting bumped a day.

Thank you all so much for the lovely messages. Hoping to be able to return to the thread with baby news by tomorrow evening 😁

Hope you get to have something nice to eat and a bit of a rest before tomorrow Flowers

SnowSnow · 01/10/2023 18:32

I was allowed home this afternoon to come back tomorrow so having a takeaway and an early night. And had the best cuddles with the dog who I didn’t realise I had missed so much!

Let’s hope the takeaway stimulates some action for labour!
