I decided to do a test today and thought I was probably being stupid and getting my hopes up but there it was after over 7 years of ttc it was positive.
I have of course done another 2 tests just to be sure 😂

Eek I just needed to tell someone. Husband is on a late shift and not home for at least another hour!

Hello me again.

I have just hit the 3rd trimester now! It is going quick and my sickness has finally almost completely gone.

Baby is head down but also seems quite high up the last day or two so am a bit uncomfortable near my ribs.

All in all feeling a lot more human now I am not such a pukefest haha!

Omg OP!
long time no see 🥲
i can’t believe you’re in your 3rd trimester already! 😳 time flies so fast (for us hahah)!

not long left now.. so happy for you and hubby ❤️

T1Dmama · 08/07/2023 01:06

Wow that’s going fast! Probably not for you though!
I had 8 months of sickness and it horrible, but the old cliche is so true… when you hold your baby for the first time you really don’t care about anything else… you don’t forget the sickness but you’d happily go through it all again to have that little person in your arms!

congrats @SnowSnow, try to rest up and get as much sleep now as possible, wishing you a healthy third trimester and birth ❤️

We need weekly or even daily updates now 🤣

SnowSnow · 14/07/2023 15:57

29 weeks now. The car seat is due to arrive today thanks to Amazon Prime Day deals!

Got called in to the hospital this week due to an issue with my liver function bloods. I’m high risk for pre eclampsia due to family history and Obstetric Cholestasis due to a bowel condition I have. So will now been seen at the assessment ward every 2 weeks for bloods and monitoring and also have an at home BP monitor and app to keep an eye in case my BP should start to go up. They are being very thorough and keeping a good eye on this so I feel well looked after.

Have been making a start on sorting out all the crap we have in our room/the spare room so we can actually have space for the baby’s things 😂

Thank for the update @SnowSnow getting so close now! ❤️

Clotho55 · 14/07/2023 16:57

It sounds as though the monitoring will be essential for your/your baby’s health. My continuing good wishes 💐💐

SiouxsieSiouxStiletto · 14/07/2023 17:10

So glad that you're being monitored so closely and thank you for the update, it's wonderful!

I never got the chance to sort out the Nursery as I spent most of the pg either puking or passing out. DH & DM did it which was interesting. Wink

Mary46 · 14/07/2023 17:11

Best wishes op its lovely for you.

MadeOfSteel · 14/07/2023 17:21

LemonDrizzle10 · 14/07/2023 17:43

OP please look into the Brewers diet for pregnancy.
There is a fantastic group on FB with the best resources.
Despite the name, it’s nothing new and not a “fad diet” It is a way of eating focused on pregnancy and ensuring you hit all of your nutritional goals, but it is very protein heavy and it is rumoured to lessen the chances of several conditions happening such as Pre-E, high BP, etc.
many moms that used to suffer from pre-E in several previous pregnancies or had other conditions reported benefits.

well anyways, I’d look into it and see if it is for you. You can even discuss the main takeaway points with your midwife if you wish.

SnowSnow · 17/07/2023 19:48

Thanks for the messages 😊

I will look up the Brewers diet.

I’m so happy to hear your update, think about you often and genuinely so excited for you as your due date grows closer. Glad you’re being monitored closely, that’s reassuring. The nesting has begun!

DesteB · 17/07/2023 23:09

I was 7 years also and eight and a half for the second. Worth the wait.

PhoenixAuntie · 18/07/2023 00:25

Thank you for the update :)

SnowSnow · 10/08/2023 20:55

33 weeks today. It’s going so quick.

BP so far ok but liver bloods still playing up so will now be seen at the hospital every week to recheck bloods and do all obs etc.

I washed the baby clothes we have been handed on yesterday and it was super emotional 🥹

Ah that's so lovely.

Have you packed your bag yet? I can't remember when I packed mine but SC1 arrived at 38 plus 1.

Have you started Mat Leave yet?

SnowSnow · 10/08/2023 21:28

I am planning to pack my bag this weekend just in case after 1 of my weekly appointments they want to deliver him. Figured it’s best to have it ready and in the car and if not needed yet then great.

I’m due to finish work at 37 plus 1 so 4 more weeks after this one.

Don't know if you're thinking of BFing but if it's even crossed your mind, I'd recommend going along to your local BFing Group once your Mat Leave starts Wink

Aly1977 · 10/08/2023 21:55

Can’t believe how fast it’s flown by I’m so excited for you ekkkkkk x
