What’s going on in your house?

First weekend in forever that we have had no plans.
DH is working so just me and the DC. Took them to football training this morning and back for lunch. Pottering around the house doing some washing/ food prep. Plans to bake cookies with the kids in a bit.
Maybe watch a film later.

Trip to IKEA this morning, then did a food shop.
Now sitting on sofa with a coffee while DH and dd do some baking.
Going to make a lasagna for dinner and then later open a bottle of Prosecco (meant to be doing dry jan but been a long week!) and download a new book for my kindle.

DS1 is watching the virtual Le Mans 24
DS2 has watched the footy and is playing fifa... apparently there is a very important boxing match on this evening that all parents of prime loving teenage boss will know about
I'm starting a new jigsaw!

I'm here on my own with a new puppy (day 3) so I'm tired, tearing my hair out and running around with disinfectant spray and kitchen roll 😩

Swimming class, top-up shop & birthday videocall to my dad done this morning.
Now Dp is asleep on the couch, I think.
DS is playing next to him on the Xbox.
I've just made a brew, dug out the galettes biscuits, and am enjoying the weekend i newspaper (and occasionally checking MN).

We went out to town this morning. Now, DP is watching rugby and I'm sitting around contemplating having a bath and painting my nails. We're going to the pub and out for dinner later.

Butter is thawing in the kitchen so that I can make a batch of scones later. I'm doing some experimental knitting that I now slightly regret because each row is around 500 stitches. DH went out on his bike but the wind blew him home earlier than planned. I need to check the TV guide and tomorrow's weather forecast.

DH has just taken DS1 back to uni.
DS2 revising.
I've just done some washing and hoovering round. Bored now.
It's grey and windy outside and the house seems quiet.

Im painting and filling charity shop bags in anticipation of moving house soon. Feel like im not getting far and my head is banging from workmen in the street. Keep stopping for cups of tea.

DH is watching the snooker in the lounge whilst DDog snores next to him on the sofa after our very soggy walk this morning, I’m in the bath on MN!

We are having a very quiet day after a manic week! M&S meal this evening so no cooking woohoo! We have the game of life board game to play later or I might thrash DH at battleships later! Either way is wine and game night tonight 😀

Sorting, cleaning and decluttering.

So much rubbish and charity stuff sorted but now we have bags of stuff to get out of the house which will have to be a job for tomorrow.

Two DC are playing consoles having done their homework and tidied their bedrooms this morning, other DC is slowly tidying their bedroom.

DH is putting up so shelves and I'm about to sort out some laundry. It's all go here 😁

We're all still ill so it's a chilled day for us. I did sushi prep for dinner tonight while DH took all the dogs out for a rainy run. Now we're all gaming together snuggled under blankets.

I've been to run an errand this morning, picked up some almond croissants to have with morning coffee as a treat. Went to Costco to pick up few things, and got something to make lunch with. Now chilling out with a cup of tea.

DH shopping for beer and wine, DS1 asleep on sofa, DS2 decorating biscuits, DDog probably hovering near DS2 hoping for crumbs and I'm chilling in the living room under a blanket - bliss!

Dh and ds1 spent the morning wandering around shops (my idea of hell), while I had a lie in. Dd left for training this morning and then into town for a late lunch so she should be home soon. Ds1 is preparing to head back to University later today. Ds2 has been chilling out as he has a day of work.
Dh and I have watched some football, walked the dog and I have some dough rising to make rolls later. We've also dealt with the washing.

All in all a really quiet day.

DH outside in the garage trying to build a gate to secure the garden as we are adopting a dog tomorrow.

Me planning how to get our toilet redecorated. Waiting for plumber to call round.

I'm bored so just put the oven on for tea - sausages, chips & beans...not very exciting tonight but have a couple of recipes to try in the week so looking forward to those. I'll have a glass or two of wine, later, with either a new crochet project or my new book. I took dd2 to town earlier for school tights and a couple of things for dd1's birthday, and ordered a few things online too.

Dd1's had an extremely lazy day, or so I thought - she's been working on her GCSE drama portfolio snuggled up in bed.

Dd2's sat at the table with me, listening to something on her phone. She's fidgety & driving me a bit nuts.

Their dad's shouting at the football & also driving me nuts. I'm ready for quiet 🙄

Just me at home this weekend as DH away. I've just put together a shoe rack (exciting times) and am debating walking down to the cinema in a bit if I can be arsed with the rain.

Had a lazy morning as we had 21 round for a party last night for my mum’s birthday. I had to get up to take DS1 to football training but went back to bed and got up again to pick him up. DP made a full English for brunch and we’re having leftovers from the party (Mexican feast!) for dinner so I have very little to do. Well… I could do washing and cleaning but I’m not going to!

DS1 has gone to his friends house and then he’s off to the football later, DS2 and DSS are playing on the x box and are suspiciously quiet now I’m thinking about it. DSD is doing some homework at the dining table and MIL and I are on the sofa on our phones with sky sports on in the background. I don’t know where DP is, either walking the dog or having a leisurely poo as I haven’t see him for a while! 😂

Long unsatisfying sleep in. Barely slept last night, have got into a pattern of waking after a couple of hours then not being able to get back to sleep. Bit of washing now waiting at the vets with our senior Yorkie for suspected yeast infection. DH homemade pizza tonight and Godfather 2.

Lovely day at home today.
This morning involved coffee and cooking problems followed by having a reshuffle of furniture, decluttering and cleaning in the living room/dinning room.

DD had some screen time this morning followed by Lego for hours and hours. Now we're watching "family" and snacking.

DD chilled and then tidied room. Is now in town with boyfriend and friends

DS slept in, chilled day in his room, a short to see a friend and is now at work
