Do you prefer driving an automatic or a manual?

I recently changed cars and now drive an automatic. Wish I got one years ago - so easy to drive! What do other people prefer and why?

We'll all be driving autos in a few years when we are made to switch to electric so might as well get used to them now.

I’ve got both, an old sporty manual which is really good fun to drive and a more modern auto that’s the family car because it’s bigger. I love both. If I feel lazy the auto comes out, if I want a fun time out in the sun out comes the manual convertible!

I wouldn’t say I have less control with the auto but it’s a prestige make so they’re hardly going to make it an unpleasant drive. It’s ability to accelerate is amazing because of its different modes, anyone arguing the auto isn’t as good has probably not driven a good auto!
