Help, lent our house to friends daughter over Christmas and Alexa has just shown they were playing the music full volume at 3am

Friend is seriously ill so her family can’t stay at their house this year so have lent their daughter our house for 4 days as favour.

Just seen on Alexa they’ve been playing full volume rave music at 3am, we live in a terraced house.

DH is stressing, I’m not really about state of house but I am about neighbours. Think I can only take something around when we’re back to apologise about noise.

WWYD?

Bloody hell, what a little shit she is! And the fact she knew her parents would be impacted by this!

Sorry washing machine warranty/insurance, no way I’d have gone through home insurance for it.

Considering what I could have come back to the house was tidy and they’d gone, that’s all I was hoping for as was getting DD back home

What did they do to the beds to need to wash the actual duvets? 🤢

Crikey that's terrible behaviour. It's one thing when you hear of holiday let tenants behaving badly, but you know them!! As you say, at least they'd gone.

Hope your DD is on the mend.

Oh they had a 4yo with them, it was their bed and was a spare duvet, I’d had the foresight to hide the woollen ones at least!

Thanks for the update OP.

I’m staggered that someone would do this in a home being lent to them as a favour at a difficult time. Has the daughter apologised to you? Thanked you?

Drinking the alcohol is weird and rude. It was clearly not random beer or wine. But rooting through someone else’s drawers and taking their prescription medication is not the act of a well person.

I hope SS are looking out for their 4yo.
