Pail McCartney, it’s sung with so little emotion, he sounds like he’s late to the pub and has been asked to quickly sing a christmas moneymaker special before he goes.

But it does show them to be early adopters of the Oodie.

She's championing the latter not the former.

And the other is Band Aid. Purely for the 'tonight thank god it's them, instead of you" bit. How bloody awful and selfish is that? I do believe Midge Ure has since said he regrets that line himself.
I always interpreted that line to mean ‘everyone is thinking it but you should feel bloody ashamed of thinking it!’
