Agree with @Pandor

There's a family history of unbelievable dysfunction stretching back hundreds of years.

I’m sure the documentary will be a robust and honest account from H&M.

Apart from the fact that we already know they’ve used footage of
a Harry Potter premiere
Katie Price’s court appearance
official photos from INSIDE the house during a visit with Desmond Tutu, implying the photos were unofficial and an invasion of their privacy in a private residence 🙄

Spot on, I did wonder has anyone who has commented on this thread so far not seen the updates on the trailers and how they are imposing 'their story' on stills taken from other people's lives, obviously without permission and without any genuine connection to 'their truth'? 🤔

No, H&M did not.

The trailers were made by netflix and netflix have already confirmed that H&M had no input on what was used. Netflix chose to use stock footage.

It will probably be in the series with a voiceover of general "Press can be intrusive and have a history of bombarding celebs with cameras."

Easy to mock but can you imagine growing up being constantly told your sibling outranks you and is more important? Having to bow to members of your family? It is a fucked up institution to be born into.

To be fair if all I had to do was bow to my gran or brother to otherwise live a life full of luxury, with no worries and have pretty much anything I want I'd bow so far down my forehead would touch the floor.

WeepingSomnambulist · 07/12/2022 17:08

@elephantknees

They didnt choose that footage. They dont have control over the series or how it was edited or put together. That's netflix. And they'll make it as dramatic and controversial as possible.

H&M are responsible for being stupid enough to do it and for anything that comes out of their mouths but they didnt do the edit or choose stock footage or the framing of the show. Netflix will also cut out things to make what they leave in more damaging.

H & M are guilty of being very stupid with this deal. But they're not directly responsible for all the choices.

ShepherdMoons · 07/12/2022 17:11

They complain about hierarchies yet they would be upset if their children didn't have titles.

They want privacy but not when they want more money and publicity - then it's okay.

They wanted to exit the Royal Family and have done but they can't stop talking about it, selling their 'story'.

It's all about them all the time. They may have been treated badly at one stage but they have become extremely irritating to most with their persistent moaning.

He needs to learn to let go and move on with life
He has much much more than most can ever dream of

FlairBand · 07/12/2022 17:14

While referring to themselves as the prince / duke and duchess infers absolutely no heirarchy whatsoever on the 7,999,999,994 people who are after him in line to the throne right?

I’m pretty certain that the next step will be to renounce their titles in the world’s most monumental flounce.

They’ve had approximately as little to do with it as they did with Finding Freedom.

They know exactly how it works.

Alexandernevermind · 07/12/2022 17:19

He isn't doing himself any favours; of course there is a hierarchy, and he was pretty high up it too.

This.

He’s spent his life being told by his family that he must stand behind his brother because he is less important. And now if he takea them to family meetups his children must stand far behind their cousins because his children are waaaay less important than their cousins.

I think he did the right thing moving to a nice sunny country where they don’t do this crap.

Fuck it, let’s do it. Lead us Harry! You can’t do worse than David Cameron, Boris Johnson or Liz Truss!

I’d follow Harry he seems marginally less insane than many of our leaders 🤷‍♀️

Honper · 07/12/2022 17:27

For Harry and for Canada!

(It is Canada he's in now isn't it?)

ChillyFingers · 07/12/2022 17:28

So would Meghan have to bow to Kate?

Explains a lot!

ArcaneWireless · 07/12/2022 17:36

Doesn't sound as though he is thriving.

Happy people don’t chops on about everything they find disagreeable in their lives. They concentrate on the positives.

If he continues to find bitterness in everything, he’ll be struggling at the survive bit too.

They had the opportunity to have the world at their feet.

And seem intent on kicking it into touch.

CharityShopChic · 07/12/2022 17:40

Well nah - as my kids would say.

As the "spare", he and his wife were always going to be playing second fiddle to William and Kate, however glamorous and photogenic his wife perceives herself to be.

Jennybeans401 · 07/12/2022 17:43

It's all about Megan's nose being out of joint after finding that she's not the leading part in the Royal Family. They seem to want the glory but not the responsibility. Will and Kate work bloody hard and never really stop.

I quite agree. A country where there aren't titles such as Duke/Duchess, where no-one insists they are still 'royal' when they agree to dispense with the title of HRH. Where they don't care or want their children to have the title prince/ss.

I look forward to them renouncing their titles - unlike Fairband I will give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they have decided to walk the walk rather than 'flouncing' off... 😁

ArcaneWireless · 07/12/2022 17:58

I daresay there would have been none of the unhappiness if he had been born first.

No problem with the establishment. No problem with hierarchy. It would have all been fine.

However, then Meghan might have actually known who he was and may have been aware of the possible life she had before her…
