Am I just knackered or is there a ghost of a line?

I know, I know, I need to wait a couple of days and do another test, but anyone who has been on the IVF rollercoaster knows that many of us take leave of our senses in the two-week-wait!

As my tests have just been delivered, I had an impulse to try one, even though it's only 4 days after embryo transfer (5 day blast). It's not my first pee of the day either. But I'm sure I can see the ghost of a line?

For transparency I'm going to add at this point that after 4 cycles of IVF we were lucky enough to have our little girl. This is our last embryo and if it doesn't work, we know how lucky we are to be parents at all. It would be like winning the lottery twice!

But . . . maybe it's possible?

That is definite progression and I have everything crossed for you; the “so many tests you could play pick-up sticks” is the most stressful stage.

Okay so I'm now away for work and I couldn't resist testing when I got to the hotel . . . I'd had a bottle of water on the train so I reckon this is quite diluted, soI think I'm okay with this line! It's not terrifying me.

I should really step away from the tests for a couple of days but I know I won't - I have one with me for the morning

Also, don’t forget the tests dry slightly darker which is why this mornings maybe didn’t look as strong compared to yesterdays!

Good morning! The test I did last night (top) with the test I did just now. It's not quite as dark as I'd like it to be but I know there is variation in the amounts of dye, concentration of wee etc. so I'm calming the crazy.

I think I might be able to muster the strength to stop testing for a couple of days - I'll definitely come back to this thread with an outcome though, in case anyone else in this position stumbles across it, as I know I've found other peoples experiences helpful. I always wonder what happened in the end, when a thread tails off!

I just want to say thank you so much for all the positivity and support - it has really helped me to share this. It can be lonely sometimes, as so many of you know.

And now I'm off to start work, act normal, and think up a good excuse to not drink at the weekend

This mornings is as dark as I would expect for a positive test, that’s clearly getting stronger. Don’t forget they dry a bit darker too so hard to compare an old test to a new one.
