Am I just knackered or is there a ghost of a line?

I know, I know, I need to wait a couple of days and do another test, but anyone who has been on the IVF rollercoaster knows that many of us take leave of our senses in the two-week-wait!

As my tests have just been delivered, I had an impulse to try one, even though it's only 4 days after embryo transfer (5 day blast). It's not my first pee of the day either. But I'm sure I can see the ghost of a line?

For transparency I'm going to add at this point that after 4 cycles of IVF we were lucky enough to have our little girl. This is our last embryo and if it doesn't work, we know how lucky we are to be parents at all. It would be like winning the lottery twice!

But . . . maybe it's possible?

Well, this morning's test isn't looking great. I would have expected a slightly darker line, so I have a horrible feeling it's another chemical. Which I totally knew could happen, and it's a danger of testing early - the excitement of a positive then the disappointment as it fades away.

I guess I'll do another test this evening but it's going to be a long day.

OP, you are testing so early is this day 5 post transfer? Is it a fresh cycle and you've tested the trigger shot out? Good luck from another IVF mama x

Yes, I'm five days post-embryo transfer, and it was a five-day blast. It was a frozen transfer so no trigger shot to test out - which is a huge blessing as my head is fried already!

I was asked for a progression photo so here it is . . . and I think you're all right, it's a smidgen darker than yesterday. I'm just well and truly in the grip of 2WW mania - sounds like so many of you know the feeling all too well

I'm in menopause now but had my children in my forties and remember well the rollercoaster of emotions around testing!
