So today is the first day of the M&S 12 Days of Christmas Advent rewards on the app.
What have you got?
I've got a free M&S Tea Light Up Lantern - looks lovely but I don't drink tea. But it is free... tricky! It does say I have 11 days to use though, which is good.

15% off non alcoholic sparkling wine today

My offers have been awful. A freebie would have lured me in store to spend but nothing for me (unless I get something good tomorrow?)

fussychica · 11/12/2023 17:26

It wasn't prosecco or gin it was cheese🙁. Managed to nab my free room spray, which I was amazed by, and got 20% off some pjs for DH. All the rest of no interest. Tomorrow's will probably be good and it's too late.

Beccyben123 · 12/12/2023 13:29

I’ve managed to get free Percy pigs and a box of mince pies how do you claim them Instore? X

Overall, hand cream and a poinsettia and a load of dull discounts. But still pretty happy! I would have bought at least one poinsettia anyway.

Collywibbles · 12/12/2023 14:39

Scan free items as normal and as long as you have scanned your Sparks card they should just come off the total.

Snowingcatsaround · 12/12/2023 15:51

Got nothing.. just rubbish discounts.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 12/12/2023 17:03

Apart from a free tin of Percy Pigs this year's has been rubbish.
Previous years I've had at least 2 freebies & 20% discounts off things that I would usually buy so used the discount.

I have bought quite a lot from M&S over the last 12months compared to previous years so am thinking that the better freebies & offers are for when you don't buy much at M&S.

Not a good way to treat your customers at Christmas - Marks & Spencer's I'm looking straight at you & giving you a very hard Paddington stare 🙄

I don't buy much in M&S and all I got was chocolate coins and easy peelers so they're definitely not trying to encourage me.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 12/12/2023 17:19

@OchonAgusOchonOh well all I can say is that whatever system M&S is using with the Sparks card is absolute pants.
As I'd have thought you would have been offered a better freebie/freebies & some useful discount vouchers to encourage you to spend more in M&S.

If Boots, Sainsburys & John Lewis etc can get their loyalty freebies & offers sorted then why can't M&S?
And the JL loyalty card is similar to M&S as in no points but freebies every so often & relevant discount codes!

I agree. It's totally rubbish. The only one worse is the TK MAXX one.

Barbequebeans64 · 12/12/2023 21:40

Well that was a waste of time

Lorrymum · 12/12/2023 23:12

Interesting to see if any of you win anything on the Free Prize Draw. Winners will be emailed on 16th December.

the80sweregreat · 13/12/2023 12:10

I missed a window to open and now it won't
Seems a very strict advent calendar!

RockaLock · 15/12/2023 10:40

You know the prize draw you got entered in if you opened all 12 doors? Well, I've won!!!

I was really excited until I saw my prize was... a light-up bottle of gin liqueur. I'm not even sure I know anyone who would be pleased to receive it as a gift!

God this advent calendar can't get anything right - they said the draw was tomorrow?!

HeraldicBlazoning · 15/12/2023 11:33

No, it says BY the 16th December. Not ON.

imnottoofussed · 15/12/2023 11:39

I've just had an email saying I've won a free bottle of light up liqueur in the competition for doing the 12 days of Christmas

RewildingAmbridge · 15/12/2023 11:52

I won a bottle of liqueur too, there's a rum one that looks nice! I also got a room spray and a tin of Percy pigs, plus a 20% pyjama discount I used so not bad for nothing

reluctantbrit · 15/12/2023 11:58

I got the bottle as well, took the vodka one and hope for the best.

I think this shows that the light up bottles are the worst selling items in 2023.

You'd think that, but I was given a free one in the advent calendars for both 2021 and 2022 so they keep churning them out. Maybe they've figured out that they're cheap to produce but high perceived value so they make a good freebie?

Could also be.

fussychica · 15/12/2023 16:27

Nothing so far and they decided something which was in stock when I ordered it on Monday is now out of stock. Thanks for that, having paid for delivery of something I wouldn't have bothered with if I'd known the other item was out of stock - grrr!
Not happy, can you tell?!
