M&S Sparks 12 Days of Christmas

So today is the first day of the M&S 12 Days of Christmas Advent rewards on the app.
What have you got?
I've got a free M&S Tea Light Up Lantern - looks lovely but I don't drink tea. But it is free... tricky! It does say I have 11 days to use though, which is good.

15% of cake.

Depends which 15% of the cake you get but i imagine I'd still be hungry

Our local food hall had a refurb and then a grand opening last week (even though they'd been open throughout!) and they advertised locally that the first 200 people to queue up for the opening at 9am, would get a 'Golden Envelope' with a special gift.

£3 off a £30 spend Hmm All enclosed in a pretty golden envelope.... The same offer was on a voucher in their promotional leaflet stacked up by the door

supertato32 · 07/12/2022 08:24

Ahh didn't know this and have opened door so. To 25% off Samsung haha! Nothing free for me

I've got the 50% off a café shortbread with a hot drink - which considering a) I haven't been in an M&S cafe for years & b) don't generally drink hot drinks is all completely shit!

For the person asking about last year, they were dubious offers at time - looking at you Gary Barlow! - but in the main it was offers on actual M&S products, not sodding Samsung & Tonies.

I got a bag of percy pigs on the first day and since then it’s just been really rubbish discount codes for things I’d never buy. I got £1 off a shortbread tin which is £6 anyway so just not something I’d buy. I’m gutted I didn’t get free gin tbh!

Ineedwinenow · 07/12/2022 10:36

I’ve got 15% of some over priced cheddar! What did I do to upset M&S!! Confused

FerretInAFrock · 07/12/2022 11:27

I got the bottle of Christmas Prosecco on day 1 and I’m happy with that even though subsequent days have been discounts on stuff I don’t want/need. During the year I’ve had a very occasional freebies such as a small bag of Percy pigs and a choccie bar.

Merry Christmas M&S🥂

OchonAgusOchonOh · 07/12/2022 11:44

@FerretInAFrock - one half decent freebie would do me.

A light up tin of teabags I won't use doesn't count. Chocolate, shortbread, alcohol, would all be gratefully received.

Adultchildofelderlyparents · 07/12/2022 11:57

Am I the only one who has not had a free gift yet? Confused I have had % discounts off things, £1 off something and the option to enter a competition, but no actual gifts that I could collect.
Reading everyone's comments I feel a bit miffed.

JustLurkingAway · 07/12/2022 12:04

Well we definitely haven't all got the same in a different order nowHmm

Seems like I've just been unlucky so far with 15% off sodding Stilton and £1 off the shortbread tinsGrin

Shekissedagirlandshelikedit · 07/12/2022 12:15

I think this 'promotion' has just put me off M&S if anything. Tight bastards. All I've had is % off things I don't buy and the free percy pigs. Hardly worth a trip to the store. A voucher for 10% off £100 would be more helpful and would probably entice me to go in for some Christmas treats.

Tesco sent some money off vouchers today which I'll be using. Thank you Tesco.

StrawberryPot · 07/12/2022 12:23

@Adultchildofelderlyparents - I've not had a free gift but I forgot to open day 1 within the 48 hour deadline, so I don't know what it was.

I'm not sure why they have to put a 2 day time limit on such crap offers 🤷‍♀️

Trumpton · 07/12/2022 17:46

I was in M&S today so tried to get my Percy Pig Bauble. First assistant said they weren’t in yet. 2nd assistant said they were all gone. I asked if there was anything else in lieu and was told they had been giving out hand creams but they were all gone!
“Well” Sez I “ That’s a bit rubbish”
The assistant agreed and we just looked at each other!

Well I wouldn't worry too much, the free gift I opened on Day 1 isn't available in either of the two stores near me. It all feels like a bit of a scam with free gifts not available in store anyway.

That's terrible!

GoodVibesHere · 07/12/2022 18:38

Day 8 I predict 29% off a tangerine when you buy a banana.

NoDairyNoProblem · 07/12/2022 18:50

WhatCanWeDoNext · 07/12/2022 00:05

A half price biscuit if I buy a drink 🙄

Me too. This one verges on insulting 🙄🤣

OhIdoLike2bBesideTheSeaside · 07/12/2022 21:51

I'm really disappointed with it to be honest I don't know why M&S have bothered really!

Wherediditallgo · 08/12/2022 00:04

20% off tights! 🙄I rarely wear dresses or skirts.

MrsBobBlackadder · 08/12/2022 00:04

20% off bags for me 🤨

Trees6 · 08/12/2022 00:07

20% off tights and socks which is useful for me.

Blocked · 08/12/2022 00:10

15% off Autograph. Disappointingly mundane, I was hoping for 12% off a cactus at Dobbies or something.

user143677433 · 08/12/2022 00:12

20% off trousers 🙄

I am currently in England so hoped for gin.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 08/12/2022 00:14

15% off Autograph.

Looks like the tea is all I'm getting.

Pidgeonslipshit · 08/12/2022 00:18

So disgusted by this promotion I went to Next in protest for joggers and boxers for my sons …I spent another £160 on clothes for me ! 220 in total ! Clothes in Next are actually so much nicer and colourful.
