What do you eat straight from the packet even if you shouldn't?

I mean things that are designed to be prepared in some way before consuming.

I've discovered hot chocolate spoons from Home Bargains that are quite nice stirred into hot milk but even better eaten as they are. They're so minty. It isn't a very cost efficient way of using them as you don't get that much chocolate but they're so good.

Also ramen. I have been known to eat some of the noodles dry.

Eating raw shit is not just odd tho. I say seek help because you must be lacking in some nutrient to be so overcome by urges that you'd eat raw bacon or sausage. WTAF!!!!

I don't believe that anyone is eating "shit" raw or not.

britneybitch23 · 14/03/2023 17:54

@Florissant I meant shit figuratively. And based on what I've seen on this thread I wouldn't be surprised

Oooh, loads of these Grin am particularly heartened to see a few fellow secret Oxo cube munchers!

I also eat anchovies straight out of the tin, raw pasta, tomato puree, frozen sweetcorn/edamame beans and can eat a whole jar of capers quite happily. I am a massive salt freak and the only thing that even slightly restrains my salt intake is the fear of death. As a child I used to steal salt sachets from cafes and eat them secretly Blush

I wonder how many of us are ND?

Nd and a massive massive salt addict too! I've definetly never just licked salt like its a dib Dab 😬

Florissant · 14/03/2023 18:02

Another salt fan here. The only salty things I don't like are Dutch black licorce and anchovies.

🤣🤣🤣

Well raw pork is/was definitely high on the list for contamination from worms. My family were butchers and raw pork was seen as pretty dangerous, up there with raw chicken.

Considering this was all of 60 years ago I'm not losing any sleep over it.

Which culture eats raw sausage and mince right out the packet then?

Raw mince = steak tartare (very popular in London but I'm not sure that could be muddled with culture 🙄)
TBF raw sausage IS a bit odd, very pappy I'd think.

Seriously lots of cultures eat raw meat and fish. Have you never had a rare steak?

Daftasabroom · 14/03/2023 22:21

A whole bag of fresh mozzarella, ripped to pieces and dipped in balsamic vinegar and olive oil accompanied by fresh baguette 🥖 forget dinner.

Daftasabroom · 14/03/2023 22:23

I like to nibble on a chilli.

HorribleHisTories15 · 14/03/2023 22:25

Pre packed salad

MrsAvocet · 14/03/2023 22:39

Tinned butterbeans straight from the tin,and frozen peas and sweetcorn. Nutella straight from the jar with a teaspoon. And I'm another jelly cube fan, which is a bit odd as I don't particularly like it made the proper way

goinggoinggoneagain · 14/03/2023 23:12

Batchelors mushy peas, cold and straight from the tin. 😋

Moonglow3 · 14/03/2023 23:13

Frozen chips

stayathomer · 14/03/2023 23:16

Tuna, and yes, jelly cubes too (but after one or two I feel icky!!)

ouchmyteeth · 14/03/2023 23:19

Raw instant noodles must be tasteless as all the flavour is in the little sachet!

Avarua2 · 14/03/2023 23:26

Shortcrust sweet pastry
Biscoff

Avarua2 · 14/03/2023 23:27

Quite a fan of frozen peas, too

Avarua2 · 14/03/2023 23:29

Apple crumble mix, get in my mouth.

Zuffe · 15/03/2023 03:21

Broad beans fresh from the garden, in those fragrant green pods with soft furry insides like the best mittens a young rabbit would wear.
