I think we all use the same word. I usually look at @theculture and having the same pattern was what inspired me to start posting.
Thanks for setting up the threads.

Is it usual to have the same starter word? I normally pick mine once I notice it's past midnight. I have a stock of favourites, but sometimes I go totally off-piste. Such a maverick.

i think the majority do use the same word repeatedly, only rarely moving on to something more promising. Adieu was my most short-lived starter word.
SALET is supposed to be the best one according to recent research.

I change mine every day. I choose a word with two different vowels because I eliminate these first.
