I'm going to Uluru/Ayers Rock for the second time in my life next month. I went before and absolutely fell in love with the landscape. It felt so magical. After the hike, I had a wonderful dinner and glass of wine. I just felt so alive and happy.

I can't wait to go again and have a different experience.

What's something you're looking forward to however big or small? 🌼

Christmas Day . When we get to spend time together just our little family and relax. We have such hectic lives it's nice to just wear ur pjs and give our undivided attention to our children for a change x

Lovely thread!
teaandtoastwithmarmite · 13 I'm jealous! We're they amazing??

Looking forward to Christmas Day this year. Last year was awful for many reasons but this year is different. Going away for the night in January, spring and the lighter nights.

I hope everything goes well for you, ill health is the pits.
I'm meeting my Consultant on Monday, she phoned last week to tell me I'm NED, no evidence of disease after my last MRI for stage 3 cancer. Next year will be better!

Great news, next year will certainly be better 😀

Bringing my newborn home from hospital with me tomorrow. We've been here since Friday and I miss my big kids and dh!

LBFseBrom · 15/11/2022 16:25

Biggreenpepper, that is lovely. Congratulations!

warofthemonstertrucks · 18/11/2022 14:38

Just an update as requested Grin we had such an amazing day, getting Married and then a lovely (if eye wateringly expensive) lunch and looottts of drinks and a night In the lovely Marylebone hotel. It was perfect and such a great time!
Now at home doing the cleaning so back down to earth with a bump!
We still have our party and a family lunch in the new year to look forward to so still stuff to be looking forward to as well :)

I have lots of little regular pleasures I look forward to like walks / runs in countryside with friends, watching comedy tv. These days tend not to look forward to big things as they don't always happen / are stressful due to autistic DS but he brings lots of joy in compensation, so don't really mind :)

I'm a keen horse woman, and bought myself a lovely new (young) horse this year. Just getting going with it, when I managed to sustain a stupid (not horse related) injury which will keep me out of the saddle til March at least!!!!

Looking forward to getting back on track with my horse, even if I do then have to spend the following 6 months getting my saddle fitness back.

My birthday next week. 33!

I'm on my way home from work. Teen DS is home already. Ordering us a Dominos when I get back.

AmyandPhilipfan · 18/11/2022 16:50

I'm seeing some friends this weekend for a few hours. We don't see each other much these days due to work and childcare commitments so it's always lovely to have a catch up.

I'm going on a coach trip to a Christmas market in a couple of weeks. On my own. I've only done coach trips in recent years with kids in tow which descend into moans of 'how much longer?' before we've barely left the bus station. This one I can relax on and probably have a lovely nap! Plus look round a Christmas market without the kids constantly asking for things!

Echobelly · 18/11/2022 16:53

Next March my choir is doing a concert of music by Bach and Byrd. Baroque and early music are some of my favourite styles to sing, I find them very therapeutic, so I can't wait to start rehearsals in January.

Mentalpiece · 18/11/2022 17:02

Going home to spend Christmas with my parents and siblings for the first time in years.

DuncanBiscuits · 18/11/2022 17:05

We’re off to see The Cure next month!

Christmas 🎅 🎄 🌟

forlornlorna1 · 18/11/2022 17:12

Panto in December. Taking my teen dd who's never been to one before. We've had a rough few years with her mental health and anxiety has really held her back from enjoying things. I didn't think she would want to go but she's very excited. Going for a nice dinner first too

HuntingoftheSnark · 19/11/2022 07:27

@warofthemonstertrucks congratulations!! That's lovely to read and hear 😀🎉🎉.

Pythonese · 19/11/2022 07:30

Wheelyweddingwipedout · 19/11/2022 07:44

My Masters graduation next month!

MinnieMountain · 19/11/2022 07:52

My birthday [highfive to @Beezknees ]. DH and I are going for a long walk, then dinner.

RhubarbFairy · 19/11/2022 08:04

Congratulations @warofthemonstertrucks

This time next week I will be in Munich for the Christmas Markets with my best friend. Leaving our DHs and DCs behind. We'll be there for three nights.

We live on opposite sides of the country so don't see each other often, so we like to make an effort when we do. The last time we went on holiday together was 2017. We were due to go away in 2019 but pushed the idea to 2020 due to family commitments on both sides. And then the world closed. We've seen each other for occasional day trips and overnights but they're just not long enough.

I'm also looking forward to our Fake Christmas on the 21st December and skiing from the 23rd. We were due to ski last year, but had to cancel three weeks before due to testing requirements. We've been waiting a long time for this.

Long term I'm looking forward to finishing my chemo ( breast cancer) on week 8 of 12, then I start the next lot, but I can see the end in sight now. Then, having and, more importantly, recovering from open heart surgery ( they found a benign tumor)
Short term, I'm looking forward to my birthday wich my twin is coming down for, haven't seen him in ages and Christmas.
