I'm going to Uluru/Ayers Rock for the second time in my life next month. I went before and absolutely fell in love with the landscape. It felt so magical. After the hike, I had a wonderful dinner and glass of wine. I just felt so alive and happy.

I can't wait to go again and have a different experience.

What's something you're looking forward to however big or small? 🌼

Hopefully being fit and well, not been too good in recent times. I'm getting there.

warofthemonstertrucks · 14/11/2022 13:47

I'm getting married (very quietly, without telling anyone but our children) on Thursday. We will have a big party next Spring but we just really wanted to be married and so that's what we are doing-and I'm really excited. We are getting married in Marylebone and then going for a posh boozy lunch and a stay in a nice hotel. My first wedding was a huge affair that I hated. This feels much more me!

Looking forward to doing Christmassy things with DC next month including light trail, panto and Dd1's first nativity. Also looking forward to eating lots of Christmas food!

Oneofthosewsillydays · 14/11/2022 13:56

Christmas, last year was hard as I wasn't well, we weren't getting much sleep, dc were very young, year before me and dh weren't well and dc were tiny and again sleep deprived. This year hopefully we will all be okay, dc's are at an age they'll enjoy it and understand. Me and dh might actually get a hot cup of tea now that it isn't quite as relentless. The build up will be fun too as we can do more, have some festivities booked in, and it just all feels very exciting!

Ooo reading everyone else’s list makes me feel all warm. We have so much to look forward to next year, we are going to watch Peter Kay, Arctic Monkeys and Pink! We have a festival booked and my sisters wedding plus 3 holidays. A very busy year already. I am really lucky I am able to do these things, 8 years ago I was living in temporary housing on benefits with DS with absolutely NOTHING to look forward to so I never take all these lovely things for granted

I've injured tendons in my ankle and I've spent the last couple of weeks indoors resting it. It's beginning to improve but it's still painful. I'm so looking forward to resuming my normal everyday activities and eventually being able to go for a proper walk.
I really miss fresh air and exercise.

mamabear715 · 14/11/2022 15:01

@warofthemonstertrucks oh, CONGRATULATIONS!!

Currently have the most hideous virus so feeling very sorry for myself. However, I am looking forward to a trip away with DH without the DC, for the first time ever, in a few weeks. We've got childcare for the weekend sorted and it's a trip we've spoken about for ages so I can't wait.

I hope everything goes well for you, ill health is the pits.

I did this a few years ago and really struggled with my mental health not being able to get out and about. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

I'm looking forward to a night away with DP near Kielder forest in December and also a Christmas quiz with friends.

More than anything I am looking forward to summer and more daylight!
