Good morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just enjoying my first cuppa of the day, in silence. It's my favourite part of the weekend. The only noise is the fridge humming away but that doesn't bother me.

So long as it doesn't rain, we're going to walk into town this morning to collect our Panto tickets. I have a small list of other things to pick up too, and I want to nip to the butcher for some nicer than usual sausages, to try a new recipe. I imagine we'll end up at our usual fruit and veg stall too.

When we get in, dd1 will probably go back to revising for the last of her mock exams...I can't remember what she has this coming week though 🤦‍♀️ . Dd2 will probably stay down here with me and do some sort of crafting. I'll finish pinning a hem on some curtains, and a couple of other repairs then maybe get the sewing machine out.

Tonight; I'll catch up with Nigel Slater's Christmas Chronicles, and maybe carry on with my crochet.

Rugby tots this morning, I have three sessions today as the other coach isn’t well.

This afternoon we’re going into town as our neighbours dog ate my sons boots (we were dogsitting) so we need to replace those.

Its our daughters birthday soon so we might buy her something while we’re out today, she does need some clothes actually as she is finally starting to get too big for her 6-9 month bits.

I’ve got an interview next week, so I’m going to spend some time preparing for that this evening.

At swimming currently . Then have tap and cheerleading lessons at midday .
kids are off out with their dad so I’m torn between watching tv or doing something useful .

Whizz one of the dogs into the vet to update his vaccinations so he can go into kennels (has a poorly paw and poorly ear, both need treating twice a day so can't stay at home with the gang - kennel guy love him and knows what needs doing). Then pack and 3.5hr drive to the Algarve for a week of doing SFA.

Been up since 4am with ds6 who is spiking a big temperature and headache, refusing to get out of bed which is very unlike him.
So nothing today apart from nursing him with calpol and movies.

All housework has been done since yesterday so just doing the last of the laundry and then will rustle up some food and call down the troops. All heading off for a walk before lunchtime then home and I will have to log in to work for an hour while the kids play on xbox then a food shop, dinner, wine and tv. That is pretty much it for today. Kids off at parties and things tomorrow so I will get to the gym.

Didn't sleep well. It was my birthday yesterday, but it was ruined by the news I didn't get the job I'd interviewed for the day before. I had absolutely nailed the interview so I was really hopefully. But they went with someone with more leadership experience.

I'm off to London this afternoon to see my favourite band with my best friend. Been looking forward to it for months but finding it hard to be enthusiastic about it now.

Been doing laundry since 7.00am DS1 bought loads of washing home from uni.
Quick tidy up today,did the food shop last night to get that out of the way.
Off out tonight to celebrate my friends 50th birthday,can't wait.

This morning I will do a meal plan with DH and an online shop. Meeting friends later then have a new recipe to try and an evening of Strictly lined up.

@90sfilmsforever sorry to hear about your interview, been there too very recently and got a similar response. Go out have a drink and let your hair down. Don’t let their decision ruin your plans! I Keep telling myself something better will come along soon.

I am currently deep cleaning downstairs, doing a few loads of washing then going food shopping. DH is still in bed with the dog nursing a hangover 🤣 we were going to go for a nice hike/walk later but might have to postpone until tomorrow now.
I’ve got a huge pile of clothes to get rid of so will put them up for sale, I’ve just downloaded the Vinted app so might try that now the eBay fees are so ridiculous!

Spent too much money last weekend so not got much planned later will probably catch up on gangs of London, might get a takeaway.

Morning all. I’m meeting my sister in the city to do some Christmas shopping with DS in the push chair.
Working 7pm-1am tonight. So squeezing in some time with DS before I have to work. He’s been off nursery all week really unwell and he’s finally on the mend. He’ll love seeing his auntie though!

I was up early watching the Rugby with DD (17), we then to Aldi. Housework today and hopefully some gardening. DD is doing dinner for tonight (Slow Cooker Saturday), she chose chicken thighs, smoked bacon lardons and sweet potatoes so assume she’ll do some sort of casserole with mash. We have one of MIL’s church pals coming round (they are both elderly but have known each other since the 50’s). I suspect they’ll consume the best part of a bottle of sherry between them and get more tiddly as the evening goes on (especially during Strictly) We’ll drop her home after the Festival of Remembrance, she always watches it but doesn’t like to alone (her husband was killed in the Falklands). It’s always a joy to see her and my darling MIL (lives with us) having a ball together.

I’ve done the food shop while DH did laundry and general chores. We’re going I to town shortly with adult DD and DS. Having lunch and a mooch round some shops.

I want to stock up on scrapbooking supplies and maybe buy a few small Christmas bits for Great Niece and Nephew (they are the only small kids we have to buy for and I secretly quite enjoy buying for them!)

Im making a curry for dinner and I think we are going to get started on The Crown.

Good morning! We started the day calmly, coffee for DH and I, a warm oat milk for toddler DS. We then had breakfast together and DH took DS in the garden for 90 minutes to just give me a little time to myself! (Been a long week 😅).

I'm making homemade pizza for lunch later but first we'll start building new drawers for our second DS who is due in February. A bit of washing, paperwork then lasagne for dinner, then a chilled evening with DH, hot chocolate and a movie!

Hi, I’m having a lie in while DH walks the dog. Then we are going to see Black Panther 2 and have Nando’s for lunch.

This afternoon I will set up my new game while DH brings the wood delivery in. I did it last year! Then this evening catch up on some telly with a glass of wine.

Little one only woke for position changes overnight rather than the usual 3am waking we have been having this week so although I was up five times through the night I feel like I have had a decent amount of sleep. This morning we concentrated on physiotherapy and their standing frame and they are now napping. This afternoon we are going to head out to a local National Trust property and go for a walk, I am just hoping the paths are wheelchair friendly.

I am really excited about tomorrow even though it means soft play as we are off to a birthday party for one of my fosterlings who left me almost two years ago for their new family.

The deed is done now @Simonjt it feels slightly numb , I miss gentle stroking it already

Morning all. I'm just back from getting a flu jab. Me and DP are going out for coffee shortly to a cafe with lovely views.

No lie in here - DS woke me at 6.40 🤦‍♀️. Done DD’s classes this morning, soon home for lunch. DP will hopefully take kids out this aft leaving me time to go through all the Christmas presents that have arrived and hide them away! Also need to sort DP’s birthday presents for next week. Not sure what’s for tea, will see what’s in the freezer.

Love these threads 😊 Currently watching DD at her swimming lesson, home for lunch and a chilled afternoon before she goes off to a birthday party. Making curry for DH and I to have with a movie tonight.

My turn for a lie-in tomorrow whilst DH takes DD out to a museum. Already looking forward to coffee, bacon roll and newspapers in bed!

Morning! (Well just) Had a slow start here after few drinks last night and late to bed. Kitchen tidied away and dishwasher running.
Popped out to get some sausages from the butcher for pasta bake later.
DH is away with a mate for the night so me and DD's will probably light the fire and watch a film.
I need to do some leaf raking but I've been feeling very tired and no motivation so I may just roll with it and have a rest.
DD 13 wants to make a pumpkin pie 🥧 with left over pumpkin so she will probably crack on with that. DD 15 has revision notes to do but she will probably want a rest day too.

DS woke up with a fever 😩 bacon sandwiches for breakfast then I quickly popped out to collect some free jigsaws and support a local bake sale (DS stayed home). DH and BIL have gone for a walk while DS and I snuggle on the sofa. Need to finish sewing on beavers badges at some point. DH is making hot dogs for dinner.

Been up since 6 with the kids. Trying to fend off wails of 'mum I'm hungry!' 'What are we doing today!' Have the bedsheets in the wash and floors mopped. Still have to Hoover and have a shower. Trying to figure out how to do that without waking the baby.
