I don't know . . . he sounds the sensitive type to me. Could be too busy writing poetry and gazing wistfully into cloudy skies to pick up a couple of shopping bags.

I could be wrong of course - all of that sighing and frantic scribbling as the Muse strikes could have built up his lung capacity (and therefore his endurance) and strengthened his handle-grasping muscles.
