I only ever drink it in the winter and now itโ€™s suddenly cold, dark and wet, I have a craving for it and just opened a bottle! Very nice too ๐Ÿ˜€

I've just realised we still have an unopened litre in the cupboard from last year. Will it be OK?

I want to know this too! If ok, I have a full bottle waiting for me!

Yes

Your last years baileys will be fine. Amazed anyone can leave a bottle sitting there untouched though. It would be long gone in my house ๐Ÿ˜†

I started a couple of weeks ago. Only on Sunday morning in hot chocolate...for now...

I had a kidney infection last new year so had to stop drinking for a few months afterwards. Otherwise it would've been long gone! It also got buried at the back of the cupboard. If I'd known it was there, I probably would've drunk it by now.

It's in its rightful place now (the fridge!)

I have a bottle that has been sat there 2 years! There were 2 bottles (both were gifts), but I passed 1 along last winter. Neither me or DH like it, nor do our guests it seems from our inability to offload it ๐Ÿ˜‚ Good to know it should still be OK to foister onto guests though! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Iโ€™ve got the Ballycastle out which is even better!

BigSandyBalls2015 · 07/11/2022 17:54

How long does it last once opened โ€ฆ in the fridge. Weโ€™ve got an unfinished baileys in the fridge in the garage and a hotel choc version. Both from Xmas last year ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

And one in the cupboard โ€ฆ Iโ€™m not usually a fan but the idea of glugging it into a coffee sounds appealing.

Make your own

10fl oz of whiskey
1 tbsp of instant coffee granules
1 can of condensed milk
1 carton on LONG LIFE single cream

Dissolve coffee in whiskey, mix in condensed milk and cream. IMBIBE.

This is exactly how my late MiL's handwritten note reads. Apart from the whiskey bit, I've added an extra 2fl oz.

You will NEVER buy it ready bottled again. This recipe almost fills a shcwepps tonic bottle. Multiply as you see fit.

Yes!
A friend came round today and we had lattรฉs with a good slug of Baileys at 11am. Marvellous.

For those above who had put of date baileys and drank it, were you OK?. Just found an unopened bottle with a bb date of Oct 2022, and debating whether to drink or chuck.

October 2022? Like, less two weeks ago? Yes of course itโ€™ll be fine just make sure you finish it by the end of the weekend.
