The 100, when the adults are volunteering to die to help save the rest of the ark.

Guardians of the galaxy 2, when the ravagers come out to give Yondu a proper send off.

Every time I see it. Every time I tear up a little

When the glass smashes and water comes barrelling through into the bridge room with the captain as the Titanic is sinking. He's going down with the ship :(

Oh yes totally agree flapjackfairy I love the Queen of Sheba episode. Del standing alone in the pub after Rodney’s wedding. ‘Holding back the years’ is playing and it just gives me all those sentimental feelings of times gone by. I find my mind drifting back to happier times years ago when I’m watching that scene. Very emotional for me personally.

It was fantastic how John Sullivan could go from making you laugh to making you cry in one scene.

SoSobored · 30/10/2022 09:52

There's a scene in the first season of fleabag where she explains to Hugh Dennis' character that she is so totally alone. I want to watch fleabag again but that had me sobbing, I don't think I can do it 😭

JennyNotFromTheBlock · 30/10/2022 09:58

At the end of Mr Holland's Opus, when Governor Gertrude Lang (the clarinet girl) gives the speech how Mr Holland impacted so many students lives and that they are his opus, the music of his life. Bawl every...single....time, even though I've watched the movie around 200-250 times (not an exaggeration).

Anything involving a dog dying. 😪

Oh my god yes. Fluke and Homeward Bound get me every time. Also for me in Babe when he gets all 10s at the sheep dog trials.

Askinvillarblues · 30/10/2022 10:00

The scene in the Goblet of Fire when Cedric Diggory’s dad sees his body. Breaks my heart every time.

mrswhiplington · 30/10/2022 10:05

OvaryActions I've just finished watching the Royle Family again for the umpteenth time and these scenes had me sobbing as well. They are such tender moments in amongst all the silliness and laughter.

Shitfather · 30/10/2022 10:06

The Snowman - when he melts. Gets me every time.

Ahh yes that’s a good one. Many moving scenes in Fleabag - I think I’ll rewatch it all again.

MintyGreenDreams · 30/10/2022 10:09

The que sera sera scene in The Royle Family Queen of Sheba episode.
Proper cry every time.

EllieQ · 30/10/2022 10:09

ThE KFC foster family advert. I don’t even like KFC, but this is a surprisingly moving story in just a minute or so:

Emma Thompson solo scene in the bedroom where she cries in Love Actually.
Gets me every time 😭

Yes. It is heartbreaking.

Spudlet · 30/10/2022 10:11

How to Train Your Dragon, when Toothless dives back into the fire to save Hiccup. It’s that time of the month, but just thinking about is making me tear up 😳

fdgdfgdfgdfg · 30/10/2022 10:13

Buffy, not the episode where Buffy's mum died, but the one after, where Buffy's telling Dawn that she's being so busy because if she stops, she realises her mum's gone

Spudlet · 30/10/2022 10:14

Oh, and the first time we watched The Snowman and The Snowdog, at the start when the old dog dies. Our old boy was getting on a bit at the time and I knew we were down to the last few years at best. I sobbed. (We knew someone who worked on the production, he was very pleased to hear that he’d got us in the feels, the git 😄).

And Ethel and Ernest, when he’s evacuated. The scene at the station. It’s a gorgeous film, but there are some bits that really get you!

Lovetok · 30/10/2022 10:16

The English Patient: “of course I’m wearing it. I’ve always worn it. I’ve always loved you.”

flapjackfairy · 30/10/2022 10:16

another Emma Thompson one is the end of Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang when she walks away and the family are running after her before realising they dont need her anymore because the father is arriving home from the war after being presumed dead. The acting is so good and I proper sob every time. My kids just tut and roll their eyes at me.

Dogtooth · 30/10/2022 10:17

The bit in empire of the sun where the boy is separated from his mother in a crowd as people flee the city when the Japanese invade - they're holding hands but get pulled apart and he's alone in refugee camps etc for the rest of the film. Horrified me as a kid (you can be separated from your parents and they can't find you) now horrifies me afresh as a mother.

The whole of grave of the fireflies. I can't even start explaining the plot without crying.

Good night Mr Tom, when he’s holding his baby sister locked in the cupboard.

Me too 😞

Rue dying in The Hunger Games

The recent Dove advert made me cry every time I saw it due to stuff going on with my own family. I hate social media and what it’s doing to young children and their self image.

Yes to the Dove advert. My heart breaks for teenage girls right now.
