Did my shopping today and Aldi. As usual, I had to go to the other supermarket next door to

Toilet cleaner- decent one like harpic black

Apple squash

Most of the time I wish Other supermarkets sold what Aldi sell!

Aldi is the only place I see apple squash!

YourTruthorMine · 16/10/2022 19:14

Whiskas, I don't give a shit about brands, but unfortunately my cats do

StopStartStop · 16/10/2022 19:15

I hardly ever go in. They can sell what they like, use social media placements for free advertising, whatever they like. Nothing to me.

mrsjimhopper · 16/10/2022 19:17

@SzeliSecond you are right they sell the apple high juice don't they.

I meant specifically I wish they sold Morrisons apple squash Grin it's double
Concentrate. We are only allowed water at work.

mrsjimhopper · 16/10/2022 19:17

...And this looks clear like water

I wish they'd start doing Dino rolls again - they were a great alternative to bear yoyos

Bread flour - my local has stopped having since they had a refurb.

They also stopped selling capers which is a pain

White rye bread

Lunchbox sized packs of mini flavoured rice cakes

Nitrite free ham and bacon

Tofu

If they stocked all of these things I wouldn't need to go to Tesco as well.

I got Dino rolls last week, middle aisle though!

If you hold on long enough I am sure one will appear in the random aisle.

Next to the trombones.

WOPTF · 16/10/2022 19:23

Gluten free basics, so bread and pasta and cereal. I always have to go elsewhere to get these for my coeliac son. Main meals we can do generally and their GF tempura chicken and fish goujons are a staple, just need more options!

Dino rolls are by the till in our Aldi.

I love their Watermelon gel cream moisturizer but they only do it once or twice a year.

Their Lacura mascara is AMAZING too

W@SirChenjins

what's 'heat protector spray'??

I meant protection! For your hair to protect it from hairdryers, straighteners, curling wands, its daily blast of the Babyliss big hair thingy.

Imissmoominmama · 16/10/2022 19:30

Veg that isn’t wrapped in plastic. Meat and fish that aren’t wrapped in plastic.

Upnorthen · 16/10/2022 19:30

Raw beetroot

Upnorthen · 16/10/2022 19:32

And chives!!

HiKelsey · 16/10/2022 19:32

A free from range. DD is wheat, soya, egg and milk free from and its bloody expensive at tesco or asda

Imabitbusyatthemoment · 16/10/2022 19:34

Tofu and more non-dairy options.

Dogsgottabone · 16/10/2022 19:35

90% chocolate. They sell 85 but I get through 3 or 4 of the Moser Roth bars a day and I need to cut down and 90 stops me a bit. But the only other one I found that I like is the Waitrose 90% costs a lot more.

Dark proper Rye bread.

Alcohol free beer in cans so I don't have to take DHs bottles to the bottle bank.

Zwicky · 16/10/2022 19:43

I wish it would sell things consistently

Frequently fall in love with something and never know if I'll see it again

This. Over the last few weeks my local has stopped selling

peri peri sauce
stem ginger and dark chocolate biscuits
Worcestershire sauce
vanilla ice cream
gorgonzola

They did have chilli jam last week but having seen a pp poster can’t get it I’m going to send DH tomorrow to stock up.

once I got some lovely chilli beetroot but I’ve never seen it since. I would like that again plus raw beetroot. I often can’t get courgettes.

byvirtue · 16/10/2022 19:47

Bulgar wheat
More organic food

Land Rovers. I could do with a cheap Land Rover, what with winter on the way and all that.

🤣

I will add- decent crisps. I really do not rate the crisps- unless it’s Pringles!

vegan offerings like plant milk and butter - just one kind would suffice. The vegan potato salad is delicious and nowhere near as calorific.

Fresh bread

Sorebackandibs · 16/10/2022 19:49

Jalapeño houmous. The Tesco one isn't spicy enough.
Decent barista oat milk
Faith in Nature Shampoo and Conditioner - I wish ANY supermarket would sell this so I don't have to go in to town for Holland and Barret

ohyeahiwaittablestoo · 16/10/2022 19:53

Capers
Plain soya yogurt (hit or miss with them having it)

GGGD · 16/10/2022 19:54

Faith in Nature hair products are sold in Waitrose Sorebackandibs if that helps.
