This is driving me nuts
Back 20 odd years ago I used this shampoo and conditioner but can't for the life of me remember what it was and I have a feeling it may of been discontinued as haven't seen it for ages, was thinking of using it again but can't find it.

All I can remember was it was a green bottle and didn't have a fruity smell.

And vosene. I use it regularly.

I loved Salon Selsctives! The variety I liked smelled of apples. It was lovely.

I loved Salon Selectives. I used 5 D

FirkleingFree · 12/10/2022 18:22

I still miss the Avon leave in conditioner from the 80s - a massive pink cylindrical bottle.

I still yearn for the 3 step Vidal Sassoon products from back in the late 70s- early 80s. My hair was incredible back then.
Dark brown bottles, almondy smell. Amazing stuff.

@Allthingsbrightandbeautifulx I remember my friend and I getting ready to go clubbing and using the conditioner, it left a greasy sheen on our hair so we had to go through the rigamarole of rewashing 😳 When I think about all those guys we could have been mingling with 🤣

@DWMoosmum just think of all the nights out and missed opportunities (hookups) that conditioner ruined 😂

Judellie · 12/10/2022 19:02

@isthismylifenow you can usually get VO5 in Poundland. £1 a bottle. That's where I go. I had forgotten about Salon selective but I also loved that.

AndSoFinally · 12/10/2022 19:03

Anyone remember that shampoo that used to separate in the bottle into a green layer and an orange layer and you had to shake it before you squirted it out? Can't remember what that one was called but I used to love it as a child (about 35 years ago...)

Not your answer OP but a shampoo and conditioner I really used to love using was Salon Selectives, anyone remember that?

OMG yes. I used to love the smell!

Was it called Once or something? Wasn't it shampoo and conditioner?

I always remember the advert had a woman going through a car wash in a covertable with the top down and she washed her hair with it in the car wash.

I was remembering a hair rinse from years before this (late 70s?) - and I can't remember what it was, except it came in small glass bottles and smelt like lavender or a sweet vinegar somehow. You poured the rinse through your hair after you'd washed it and it left you smelling amazing...for days!

Anyone any ideas? I doubt you can get it now, but it was lovely...

Was it a setting lotion, something like Amami?

I loved that. Smelt lush

Washyourownfeet · 12/10/2022 19:23

I remember one called Raintree but I think it was discontinued, also Loxene, it had a herbal smell.

Vita pointe?

KenzosFlower · 12/10/2022 19:26

Where are people getting Flex from?

formulatingAresponse · 12/10/2022 19:27

I'm pretty sure Organics is now Herbal Essence

Squirrelsnut · 12/10/2022 19:35

I think the two layer shampoo was called Once.
I loved VO5 oatmilk shampoo, and the Body Shop coconut one which was completely clear.

Cantanka · 12/10/2022 19:38

I loved Organics but stopped using it because everyone at school seemed to be obsessed with saying it’s bad for your hair (coated it with some ingredient or other which k think began with g!)

Blackcatsarethebest · 12/10/2022 19:42

I loved organics, one of my fav shampoos. You can still get salon selective, it’s nothing like it was, sadly.

Luncheonmeatsandwich · 12/10/2022 19:49
