Tell me about your stupid injuries

Feeling very silly today. 28 years of owning horses and while doing a worm test yesterday in horse’s mouth I got my index finger caught in his molars. The finger is crushed, the bone broken and the nail spilt in two. Yesterday I had to get a tetanus jab and course of antibiotics and I’m off to see a plastic surgeon tomorrow to have the nail treated. Feeling very stupid as should have known better and now struggling with everything as it’s my right hand!

I can fall over fresh air. I fell once in flat sandles and damaged my ligaments so badly my ankle has never been the same.

I've fallen over the cat and honestly thought I was completely broken. I could barely walk for a week.

I fell over running as a child and broke my arm.

I've fallen downstairs three times.

I think it happens to me when I am distracted. I need to concentrate on just walking!

Stepped out of kitchen onto decking and slipped as it was wet. Hit face hard on a metal bin and couldn't close my jaw for a week. Had to eat soft foods and dribbled all the time!

Slipped a disc brushing my teeth, but thought it was a trapped nerve so went to my ballet class (to stretch it out) and managed to force it back into place. The doctor thought I was a double hard bastard!

Four years ago I closed the car boot on my head knocking myself out. Four years on, I still suffer from regular dizzy spells as a result.

Eek, I have a scar on my nose from doing the same thing and then not getting medical treatment because I didn't want to wait hours in a+e. Sorry to hear you're still suffering.

Messing around with a yoga ball when drunk and somehow ended up launching myself several feet across the room and into a wooden chest of drawers, still have a nice scar from that one.

Most recently I fell through a pallet at work, was walking across and my foot went through the bars, ended up falling forwards, thought I'd snapped my shin bone in half it hurt so badly, took a good chunk of skin off.
Same month I tripped over the prong of a forklift truck wasn't looking where I was going, dropped a 25kg bag on my foot and gave myself a good lump on my head after nearly knocking myself out on a scissor lift.

Another bloke I worked with once got told when working on one of the machines, "don't put your hand in there, that blade is sharp", he proceeded to stick his hand in to check, because of course men are idiots. He lost is thumb, he left not long after because people kept taking the piss

At school saw the bus pulling up as leaving the building, thought I could just push the swing door open as I ran through to make said bus. Door swung back, whacked me in the face and gave me a massive black eye. Next day teacher quietly took me aside to ask if I was being bullied/got in a fight, not sure she believed me when I sheepishly admitted I really had walked into a door.
