What’s for Sunday dinner?

Or lunch if you have your main meal on Sundays at lunchtime?
We usually have a roast as everyone likes it. Today Dh is fancying a stew but the dc won’t like it, and I’m fancying a pie but again dc wont like it! Not after a debate on the fussiness of the dc, just being nosey about what everyone else is having…

DH is doing a roast: beef; Yorkshire puddings; roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots and beetroot; peas; red cabbage

Turkey meatballs and spaghetti here with garlic bread and salad. Debating making something for dessert and I've got some cream that needs using up. or I might cheat and wander to the shop to buy cake

Slow cooker chicken thighs, roast potatoes, carrots, cabbage, green beans, gravy, stuffing and pigs in blankets.
For pudding (during SCD results show), individual steamed syrup pudding and custard.
£8 in total, serving 4.

We usually always have a roast dinner on a Sunday even when it's height of summer!

But today we've decided to roast a whole chicken and have it as chicken fajitas instead, served with veg and wedges. Really looking forward to it.

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, mash, carrots, parsnips, stuffing, Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese. Anything goes on a roast in this house 😄

Then bread and butter pudding, if I can get off my phone and start prepping 😴

Sainsburys steak and ale pie, aunt Bessie’s roasts, peas and gravy because I’ve got Covid and can’t be bothered. Never have I ever bought so much ready meals. We had a ham and cheese gratin last night and it was very nice.

We are having a roast dinner tonight, the first one in quite a while (trying to limit the amount I use the electric oven) Roast chicken, roast and mashed potatoes, parsnips, stuffing, cabbage, glazed carrots, broccoli and lashings of gravy. And a glass or two of white wine which is a real treat (have recently cut it out completely to help health wise and money wise)

ChiefWiggumsBoy · 09/10/2022 16:05

We normally have a roast, but I went to the local international shop and bought loads of fresh bread and samosas and stuff like that, so we'll be having all those and a roast tomorrow. Pork, with everything.

whoruntheworldgirls · 09/10/2022 16:12
