I just love a ring thread!
My DP and I got married last month, and I'm waiting for my wedding ring to come back from the jewellers as it was a little too big.

Whilst I'm waiting (and missing it!!) I'd love to see yours!

This is just about identical to my engagement ring that I returned when I ended my relationship. It dated from 1952,

I don't wear them together but it's easier to post just one photo. My engagement ring (not yet married) and my mum's wedding ring. I miss her.

Your ring is beautiful and sits perfectly on your hand.

Do try plain platinum bands, I think more diamonds might detract. I thought I wanted either a pavé diamond wedding band or channel set diamond wedding band. When we tried them on, the plain band just looked right.

I love the fact that I can wear it all the time without worrying about catching it or losing stones. My engagement ring is a plain solitaire so equally bomb-proof and being platinum, scratches are just polished out at their free annual service (De Beers Bond Street).

Emerald, had to take it off when Covid started and we were obliged to use hand sanitizer. Not complaining about the hand sanitizer , just that it would have damaged the emerald.

Love looking at rings. We’ve been married for 16 years and eternity ring was 10 year anniversary present with rubies for mine, my DD and DM birth stone.

My wedding and engagements rings are 9ct yellow gold with single diamond in engagement ring.

My cluster ring I wear on my right hand is amethyst which was my 21st birthday present from my parents.

All very cheap.

@Thingsthatgo is it worth buying an ultrasonic cleaning machine? Do you recommend using them?

I had quite a few rings until I had to sell them to pay the rent but I kept some - the ones most precious to me, including of course my wedding ring. These are them: one that my dad bought me for my 21st birthday (amethyst with 3 diamonds at either side); one I bought myself to wear with my wedding ring (tanzanite surrounded by 6 tiny diamonds and 6 tiny pretend diamonds); and one my nan gave me before she died (a central amethyst surrounded by diamonds). I love purple!

I love my rings. DH chose them both so I would have loved them if they were onion rings, but they are very me.

my hands are looking embarrassingly old, though.

Ultrasonic cleaners are amazing! I have diamond stud earrings in a martini setting and they do get grimy, the ultrasonic cleaner is the only thing that gets them really spic and span.

For me yes. It gets all the gunk out puts the sparkle back on any jewellery. Great for specs too
