I just love a ring thread!
My DP and I got married last month, and I'm waiting for my wedding ring to come back from the jewellers as it was a little too big.

Whilst I'm waiting (and missing it!!) I'd love to see yours!

Plain wedding band, the only brand new ring. Eternity ring bought second hand as it has similar stones to the engagement ring, found after much ebay searching. Thin band was my late Nannas, used to have ivy leaves engraved all around it but long worn off, and the engagement ring I found in an antique shop, it caught my eye straight away and I had to have it. I love the idea of pre loved and continuing the history of a ring by adding my little bit to it. I hope someone after me wears and loves them as much as I do

When my now husband proposed he didn’t have a ring because his mum had offered him the two round diamonds to have a ring made if I wanted them. He wanted to give me the choice. Then my mum offered the baguette diamond so the ring represents both families. The wedding band is very plain but slightly shaped around my engagement ring. He gave me the eternity ring after our youngest was born as she completed our family. Married for nearly 11 years and I still adore them.

Thanks to this thread I have just remembered about this ring. My ex MIL gave it to me about 20 years ago,I have just pulled it out and going to get it cleaned and pass it to my DD for her 21st next month.

@Anidecx ahh thank you, it's actually just a ridge (most of my nails have them), but can see how it looks black in the photo x

Just wanted to share these 2. The ring on my finger is one that was my great grandmothers that’s passed down through my Nana and my mum to me.

The small gold hoop on the necklace is half of my nanas original wedding ring. It was given to my mum when Nan died. Mum had it made into 2 small hoops and gave me one on a necklace for me. I wear it everyday with a locket that has a photo of my mum in, that dad got me when mum died.

Posted too soon it's a plain gold wedding band (from Tiffany) a 1ct brilliant cut diamond engagement ring and a half eternity ring (eternity and engagement rings were from goldsmiths). We got engaged 17 years ago and have been married for 13 years.

Lost the stone out of my origional engagement ring. DH bought me this as a suprise xmas gift as a replacement. I think its the most romantic thing hes ever done and i bawled my eyes out with happy tears when i opened it on xmas day causing DSs to exit stage right hahaha.

Here's mine! Back on from January. Haven't worn either for 7 years as they were too small. After a gastric bypass last year I'm 8stone down and this was my biggest non-scale victory. They are actually getting a bit big now 😬🤣

Beautiful rings and congratulations on your weight loss. My friend is four weeks post op. And back on liquids been rushing things a bit. I said she'd get there in the end. You're the proof. 👌.

Don't lose a ring though

She'll defo get there! First 4 months are hard but once you've learnt about your 'new' stomach it's fantastic; new lease of life for me!

My wedding ring would definitely fall off without the engagement ring 🤣 but even that's starting to spin round.... Time to price up having them made smaller haha
