I just love a ring thread!
My DP and I got married last month, and I'm waiting for my wedding ring to come back from the jewellers as it was a little too big.

Whilst I'm waiting (and missing it!!) I'd love to see yours!

Here’s mine engagement ring bought in the USA in south west Florida so 14k yellow gold then a year later randomly found the matching wedding band in a different jewellers in the same area then 5 years after that found a matching 14k style eternity ring in our local jewellers in our small north western English coastal town 14k is relatively rare in the UK so felt like fate to find it. We tried for our DS for 4 years so the eternity band was to celebrate his birth and was particularly special for me. Excuse the awful AND grown out nails tried a new nail tech and it’s not pretty ☹️

Such beautiful rings! Here is my engagement ring, Pearl and diamonds. We bought it second hand and the jeweller thought it might be about 1890-early 1900s. I like to think of the women who wore it before me. The other one my mum gave me; she bought the emeralds and diamonds yrs ago in India and had it made.

CBechstein · 07/10/2022 20:24

@Pufflings Beautiful pearl and diamond! Do you have to be very careful with the pearl?

Glittersparkle, that has really brought a tear to my eye. Lovely ring and such a good way to feel he’s close to your heart 24/7.

Thankyou,it really does bring me comfort knowing he's with me 24/7,I also have him in my necklace and bracelet lockets, as well as a tattoo with his name and some of his ashes mixed in with the ink ❤️xxx

CBechstein · 07/10/2022 20:28

@HighlandPony It's a keltic knot isn't it?

CBechstein · 07/10/2022 20:29

Celtic even.

Pufflings · 07/10/2022 20:29

@CBechstein surprisingly no! The amount of times I’ve clonked it on a shelf when reaching for something! Years ago the band cracked at the bottom and the jewellers we bought it from on Hatton Garden took it back to repair and said the gold had worn quite thin from use over the decades. No problems since then. They thought it might have been made in France. I love how they are like historians of jewellery!

Newbie198 · 07/10/2022 19:33

Mine are pretty simple. The wedding ring was actually £14.99 from Argos! (1991) The engagement ring wasn’t much more..
I haven’t seen many engagement rings with heart shaped sides, would love to see someone who has one.
Everyone’s rings are lovely

My sister's engagement ring is very similar to yours with hearts on the shoulders too 😍

2018SoFarSoGreat · 07/10/2022 20:32

@Glittersparkle76 that is just a beautiful way to keep your boy close to you, although he'll always be with you.

PhloxOfSheep · 07/10/2022 20:32

@ElizabethBest Thank you!

@RandomCatGenerator Thank you! Not antique, no. Both made for me, but not designed by me. The engagement ring is from The London Victorian Ring Co in Hatton Gardens and is still available there.

stayathomegardener · 07/10/2022 17:58

What is this beautiful stone please?

It’s topaz

CBechstein · 07/10/2022 20:34

I'm really surprised I always heard they were too delicate for everyday, with products, etc.@Pufflings I've always fancied one, so I can dream away now!

MysteryCallWTF · 07/10/2022 20:37

DH gave me this one for Christmas a couple of years ago. It's way too delicate to wear daily - it's a Victorian, garnet and turquoise promise ring. The turquoise stones are set in 'secret' heart shaped settings. It's dated 1888 so we call it my Jack the Ripper ring!

@Glittersparkle76 a very precious ring💐

@HighlandPony It's a keltic knot isn't it?

Aye. He bought me this for our tenth anniversary too. My dad is Irish but my mums side are all Scottish so it’s like a Scottish claddagh.
