I just love a ring thread!
My DP and I got married last month, and I'm waiting for my wedding ring to come back from the jewellers as it was a little too big.

Whilst I'm waiting (and missing it!!) I'd love to see yours!

It looks beautiful on you @hulahoopqueen , your wedding band looks fabulous. It definitely helps that your hands are so young and flawless!

I hope you love it as much after 25 years as I do mine xx

JhsLs · 07/10/2022 19:46

I love how simple mine are. Top is my engagement ring, designed by my husband with a jeweller. Plain wedding band in the middle with our wedding date engraved on the inside. Bottom is the most extravagant purchase I’ve made which is a half band eternity ring which I chose after our son was born last year. Fun fact: I had to have both my wedding and engagement rings sawed off by said jeweller at 38 weeks pregnant… 🤣

Mine are quite simple but I love them. We've been married 15 year this month so I might ask for an eternity ring with a bit of colour.

Married almost 2 weeks ago :)

Engagement ring is a moonstone, both it and our wedding rings are in a leafy design (my choice, and I couldn't be happier! Over the moon, you might say 😆)

Thumb ring is actually one of two fidget rings I bought very recently to save me from wrecking my fingers (I have ocd which manifests as skin picking and chewing), the star spins! The other one is on my right index, has little silver balls you can rotate round the ring.

Mine have memories of our travels: engagement ring bought in Barbados, wedding ring in Italy, eternity ring in India.

Wow @TooFarGonee they look absolutely stunning on you ! 😍😍

Olissa8 · 07/10/2022 19:55

I wear my engagement ring on my right hand because the shape means I can't wear it with another ring (or not easily). It's a 'toi et moi' style with a diamond and pearl, dated to 1910.
My wedding ring is made from a silver florin dated 1916, so fairly close.

@coffeeandwineplease no of course I don't mind, I love it too 😍

They do say though that opals aren't ideal for engagement rings as they're quite soft and can scratch. That's true but they're so pretty I don't care too much about that x

Ringthing · 07/10/2022 19:56

Mine's identifying if you know me, so I've name changed. It's symbolises moon over water, valley and mountains. It's a diamond over a sapphire.

So many beautiful and unique rings and so many lovely manicured hands 🙌

@Calmondeck your ring looks gorgeous, it doesn’t need anything to detract from it (imo)

Yellow gold 5 stone and curved band to match which still need resized 9 months later! So scared of losing them and need to be able to remove jewellery for work so wear the titanium oval moissanite and matching band daily

@EstellaRijnveld the stone looks like a Burmese ruby - slightly pinker than a traditional ruby, and very rare.

Lovegossip · 07/10/2022 20:06

This is mine all shiny and new on the wedding day, I chose the ring before we got engaged and gave DH the link for it

Still wear the one he bought me seventeen years ago. It’s sterling silver and it was £12 or something from the post office in Iona but to me it’s worth more than any expensive ring. I was 19, he was 21. Still going.

Diamonds given to my mum by her dad when I was born. I inherited it.My auntie was given a similar one when she had her firstborn.
the other ring is based on the Victorian message rings. The initial of each stone but together makes a word, in this case my nickname. My dh had it made for me on our first Valentines Day together.

Thanks @LadyRoughDiamond I had a look at some of the Burmese rubies on the Gatsby Jewellery website & they looked similar to the stone on my nan's ring.
