How do you pronounce Tuna?

I promise I'm not batshit, honestly.

Talking to DM last night and she insists that Tui is pronounced 'chewy' instead of 'tu-ee'.
Now I'm questioning whether we've been brought up pronouncing tuna wrong all our lives. She/we say 'chew-nah' but should it be 'tu-nah' instead?

Chewna for me! My non British other half asked me why I say Chrain (Train) and Chewnisia (Tunisia)! I do say ee-kay-a for Ikea though but only because I don't live in UK and no one here says eye-kee-a.

My husband is Tunisian and I say it Tyunisia, he's never corrected me.

I say tune-a as does everyone I know, but my Nan (who was born in NI in the 1920's) said too-na like an American. Weird!
