Sausage party... truely awful, I dont know what I expected but even 12 year olds would be bored by that try hard immature humour.

I put this on for my children whilst cooking dinner... realised very quickly it was not a childrens film 😂

ginghamstarfish · 30/09/2022 15:02

So many .. the ones that come to mind are Pretty Woman, left the cinema halfway through, and the first 'new' Star Wars film, don't remember the title but fell asleep 10 minutes in.

Royal Tenenbaums was dire, couldn’t finish it.

I loved it!

my worst is a 1994 film called Chasers I went to see with a friend when what we wanted to see Sliver (which I believe is also terrible) but it had sold out before we reached the front of the queue

PeterPomegranate · 30/09/2022 15:04

Oh and Big Wednesday - a surfer movie that someone made me watch because it was amazing apparently. Just awful.

Mrsjayy · 30/09/2022 15:05

Black Swan self indulgent garbage!

Sex in the city 2 .racist zenaphobic and it was obvious SJP hated Kim Cattrall and probably had a hand in the script!

DavesSpareDeckChair · 30/09/2022 15:05

I think the Mel Gibson killing aliens with a glass of water film is called Signs, and I remember thinking it was a let down too!

Didn't like Sausage Party either, it was somehow even worse than I expected.

Didn't like one of the new Star Wars films much, can't remember what it's called, but it was just a rehash of the original.

I've seen some slightly rubbishy films where they took existing songs and wrote a plot (if you can call it that) based on the songs, (as opposed to musicals that start with a plot and write songs based on itha). You can forgive the lack of plot if the rest of the film is entertaining or the songs are good enough, but the one I can't forgive is Destination Anywhere, I don't think it had any redeeming features!

CanIbeRio · 30/09/2022 15:10

Horace the Talking Horse. When dd was little we wanted a family friendly film and found it on Netflix. It wasn't animated and the horse's mouth didn't move when he 'talked' .....it should have been Horace the Voiceover Horae'! It was so low budget that to fill time the film would cut to random scenes of babbling Brooks and Sun dappled forests which had no bearing on the story 🤔. The plot? There wasn't one.....just the horse 'chatting sh*t" as not so little now dd would say! We still laugh about it 10 yrs on!! 🤣

Oops Xenophobic*

Signs is a terrible film i think I fell asleep

Maireas · 30/09/2022 15:12

Love Actually.
It says something when even the wonderful Alan Rickman couldn't redeem it.

onmywayamarillo · 30/09/2022 15:12

Les miserable as 🤣

toastedcat · 30/09/2022 15:14

I, Daniel Blake.

isthismylifenow · 30/09/2022 15:20

The Room surely has to be the worst movie ever....

Howard the Duck...

There is a Johnny Depp one too, damn the name has escaped me, it's probably wiped from my memory for a good reason.

isthismylifenow · 30/09/2022 15:21

Cry Baby. That is the Johnny Depp one.

He sings in it too......

orangeisthenewpuce · 30/09/2022 15:27

Dirty dancing. Utter bilge. I hate it.

the80sweregreat · 30/09/2022 15:27

Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson save ' love actually ' !
Both are fab in a very cheesy film.
Sat through 'the eternal s ' that was awful
I don't like marvel / dc films though

The Crows Have Eyes! And the sequel: The Crows Have Eyes 2: The Crowening.

I admire your commitment in watching the follow ups!

faw2009 · 30/09/2022 15:31

Walked out of 'Magnolia' - such a long film it had a handy intermission

Batiqueattic · 30/09/2022 15:33

Oh please, while some of the above are indeed dire, the worst movie of all time is without doubt The Oxford Murders. John Hurt & the hobbit lad. It is excruciating!!! Two apparently sane women fall in love with hobbit boy. I was sure the twist would be that they were spies & just pretending because it was all SO awkward but nope, that was meant to be real lurve. And you know "sexy eating food off your lover"? As in maybe a strawberry or a lick of cream? The hobbit tries to sexily eat spaghetti bolognaise off this (foot taller) woman who isn't just pretending she loves him. Oh and he's some scientist genius while his acting skills keep him firmly in "average 6th former" league. I can't remember the rest of it, my brain had to be wiped of an overload of shocking disbelief. Painful.

Chikapu · 30/09/2022 15:35

Coffee and Kareem
Calendar Girls
I love Lost in Translation.

TigerRag · 30/09/2022 15:37

Night of the blood monster

Seen some utter rubbish at the cinema in the last few years. So bad that I couldn't remember the name. One was a French film and was about space / NASA.

Time40 · 30/09/2022 15:38

Awwww .... at least four people have said "Lost in Translation". It's wonderful - one of my favourite films. Also, someone said Spice Girls - the Movie. Spice Girls the Movie is fabulous - truly mood-lifting, life-enhancing stuff.

I couldn't watch the latest Star Wars to the end. I was so bored that I had to leave.

LibertyLily · 30/09/2022 15:46

I found all the more recent Star Wars films boring 🙄

Inglourious Basterds - great cast and expected to like it, but both DH and I thought it was total shit and turned off less than half way through.

Black Swan - awful!

Night of the Lepus (a 1972 film about giant rabbits, lol!) - watched with student friends in the late '80s when slightly pissed. Was so bad I guess it was actually almost good.

Hated La La Land and A Star is Born (the Lady GaGa version).

I'm sure there's more....
