We're having sausage butties and prosecco for the funeral

My friend is having a full afternoon tea. Another is having cucumber sandwiches

No, it seems odd to me to go out of the way to have afternoon tea or some special food for a funeral, rather than a happy celebration.

I think it’s a happy celebration of the queen and her life. It’s a nice way to mark the event for children who had afternoon tea to celebrate the jubilee.

We had a pint in the Spoons. It’s what she would have wanted*

I made some scones and had them for lunch and afternoon snack.

Just finished a full roast Lamb with all the trimmings. Was nice.

Had Coronation chicken,smoked salmon and prawn sandwiches and a Victoria sponge for lunch with tea and proseco
Roast beef and all the trimmings for dinner
TBF we had family round
For us it was a special day

Yes, I think it's the UK's obsession with alcohol and using any excuse to drink tbh!
