Ninja Warrior females - why?

Why do the female contestants on NW UK have a shorter course than the men? Watching this with my two young DD, how shit for them to see the men go on to another part of the course to complete but the women don't.

I thought we were getting somewhere?? Apparently not.

Why can't the men and women compete separately like in Gladiators?

The women ( and men) on NW are amazing. I'm sure they must inspire a lot of kids to be active. I don't think the course matters.
