Anyone struggling with InPost lockers?

I've just discovered Vinted and am selling anything not nailed down. I don't have a printer so have just started using the InPost service where you drop the parcel in lockers and they attach the label to it.

First lot of parcels - fine. Since then (last week) every single InPost location has no available lockers. I've driven to eight different ones in the past few days.

Anyone else having issues?

I’ve noticed this too. I sell a lot on Vinted and was very excited when some lockers were placed outside the corner shop at the end of my road. It took ages for them to be set up and now they’re full and have been for a while. Turned the option off for now as the only other one near me is also full 🙄

But I did also have a message pop up on Vinted to say Evri were experiencing delays too.

Yes, four trips to full lockers. Now parcels are ‘in transit’ and have been for 20 days!
Vinted have added a message to the chain of contact between buyer and seller saying that money will be refunded if the parcels do not arrive by the 9th of October.

I'm gutted. The money is a bonus but I was making an effort because I hate waste and want to be more sustainable. I can see all of these ‘lost’ parcels ending up in landfill. A disgrace.

Exactly the same here and no refund for either the me or the buyer until 18th 😒😒

Harva · 29/09/2022 15:14

I've turned my whole Vinted account to ‘on holiday’ mode.
I haven't the time to deal with the repeated trips and many messages from, quite rightly, disgruntled buyers

@Harva Are they only refunding buyers, or will they let the seller keep the money too?

I don't know. In normal circumstances, the seller hasn't any money yet as the buyer has to signify that everything is ok, to release the funds.

I think the seller is compensated, but to what effect I don't know.

Vinted refunds both - buyer gets the total price including postage, seller gets the sale cost. I had one go missing in transit before this issue, and they were quite quick, but with such huge issues now, who knows how long it'll take.

One of my Inpost parcels has apparently been delivered after 19 days! Just hoping the buyer will confirm all ok now. What a total pain. 3 more parcels not yet delivered.. 2 are Inpost and 1 Evri which has apparently arrived at destination shop but cannot be found when my buyer has gone to collect. Total nightmare. Makes me want to give up on Vinted and I've barely started!

Stevie77 · 29/09/2022 21:49

There are issues with Evri too! I dropped a parcel off on Monday PM and it’s still not been picked up from the collection point. Am going to call them tomorrow but am expecting to be fobbed off!

annoyingly, in the meantime I purchased an item and stupidly opted for Evri delivery - it was before the problem with them materialised.

Aly1977 · 26/10/2022 09:30

It’s terrible isn’t it, all mine locally are full my partner took my parcels to work on the other side of wales and still couldn’t find one to send them
in, im sat here at 9.30am after school run hoping they will come and empty the ones near me soonish 🤞🏻 I’ve contacted my buyers to keep them updated but I pride myself on posting same day and it’s now been 3 days and I’m stressed 😩

megletthesecond · 07/11/2022 11:11

Third vinted sale but first time a buyer has chosen Inpost and it's already a nightmare. I'll turn it off as a future option.

Every local locker is full. I can't keep checking and nipping to the supermarket to see if it still has a space.

Aly1977 · 07/11/2022 14:23

You know on the actual inpost site you can pop your postcode in and it tells you which have spaces it’s a help but still such a pain if they don’t empty them x

I

megletthesecond · 07/11/2022 17:41

Al yes, I can see the part where it tells you how full up it is. Ours haven't been emptied today. I'm working tomorrow so even if it is emptied I doubt I'll be able to make it before it fills up again.

The one across town was emptied mid morning and is almost full up again.
