Anyone struggling with InPost lockers?

I've just discovered Vinted and am selling anything not nailed down. I don't have a printer so have just started using the InPost service where you drop the parcel in lockers and they attach the label to it.

First lot of parcels - fine. Since then (last week) every single InPost location has no available lockers. I've driven to eight different ones in the past few days.

Anyone else having issues?

@veneeroftheyear when I got to the lockers yesterday, the parcel man was there collecting all the parcels from the locker. He types something into the screen, scans a bit of sticky paper, the corresponding locker door opens and he takes out the parcel and sticks that label on it.

Excellent idea! I've just now copied you and done this in my bio and on every individual listing ... a bit laborious but hopefully helpful down the road.

I've copied the paragraph into a note on my phone so I can in future just copy and paste it on future listings.

Yes, I had to exclude it as an option on my Vinted account. I could just never send anything from there.

They now have a capacity checker on the website so you can check what lockers are free.

I just posted 3 parcels, with a queue of two people behind me. Both turned away as I had used the last slots.

How does the capacity checker work though? As in, there could be space near me at the point my buyer presses Buy. It could be a different story by the time I get the item parcelled up and leg it to a locker.

Or am I missing something? Hopefully I am Grin

It works in real time. So it will show limited spaces and by the time you get there the last space might have just been used. Still means if it’s full then you’ll know in advance, but not fool proof.

That's strange... I used the lockers last year very often (selling baby clothes) and never had this problem. Did not use them for a while till yesterday and did not occur to me there would be problems - luckily I could drop off two parcels at my usual location no problem - that's in South London.

The lockers by work i have always had this problem. I often have to try 3/4 times during day to try and catch free ones after the courier has been. The one near my house I've never had an issue with.

Yep my local one is full. Has been for 2 days. Last parcel I dropped there sat in it for 8 days!

There’s a real issue with it that they’re aware of. Lots on twitter about it. They have a pinned tweet and loads of people moaning.

I’ve bought 3 items from Vinted and all sent by InPost. All up to 10 days late.
one now saying delivered yesterday on Vinted and I have 2 days to collect but I have no email from InPost with a code or anything! Anyone Help????

Yes. I cancelled - after driving there every day for 5 days, I didn’t know it was visible on the app - and got my buyers to buy again using Evri instead. I discovered I can turn inpost off as an option so did that too

Our lockers always seem to have space in the village.

I've Yodel turned off as the guys in our local shop can never get their machine to work.

Interestingly, I've never had UPS selected as an option.

Yes I had this problem in central London - barely any lockers and all full. I have turned it off in my settings now. I assume the problem is that they recently were added to Vinted and the demand has gone through the roof suddenly!

I sent packages theough the inpost over a week ago and their still at the sorting facility and been there for a week. It's ridiculous. I've changed my postage to yodel and evri only now as these get delivered promptly.
