What children's TV do you actually enjoy?

We're loving the Nick Cope Popcast at the moment. It's such a lovely, calm programme. He seems like a genuinely nice man (son of actor Kenneth Cope), not over the top like other presenters. Love the songs. I actually really enjoy it and I can't say that about too many children's programmes.

Have about you?

Ooglies was brilliant!! Pingu is fab and I was always partial to a Pokémon marathon...

But I watch Dangermouse on YouTube so don't pay any attention to me 😏

Can't believe I forgot Teen Titans. It's hilarious!

I already knew that Cyborg was voiced by Ezekiel from The Walking Dead but it did make me laugh when I looked up the voice of Beast Boy. He looks exactly like his voice suggests.

When I was a nanny nearly 20 years ago, the children loved Come Outside and Big Cook, Little Cook. I did too but sadly they were gone from CBeebies by the time my DC were watching TV.

I loved Come Outside partly for nostalgia even then. The bread episode was filmed in a Safeway! The letter episode made me laugh 'let's post this letter. Then follow it in our private plane and go straight to the door anyway'.

I may need to go and watch some Big Cook, Little Cook episodes on YT now for the nostalgia.

Phineas and Ferb

Horrible Histories

Teen Titans

Operation Ouch

I flipping love nanny plum! Me and my four year old give each other a joking sarcastic "whatever" in a nanny plum voice on a regular basis.

Another vote for Bluey here. It’s so relatable and the characters have their own faults and redeeming qualities. There’s an episode called Faceytalk that is hilarious, and I love the Rain episode too.
@Goldmember I was only trying to find Tinga Tales yesterday as was telling my DD that we used to watch it at nap time cuddled on the sofa together but I can’t seem to find it to stream anywhere. There is mention on the CBeebies website but no episodes.

Weepingwillows12 · 04/09/2022 22:25

Teen titans is great. I love the thunder cats episode. Also horrible histories. When they were little I liked hey duggee. My kids are too old for bluey.

lavenderfields06 · 04/09/2022 22:26

I love Bluey! Makes me laugh and it's just so sweet.

StarDolphins · 04/09/2022 22:29

Bluey!! I love it. Sometimes, I think ooh I’ll put The Office on to make me laugh but will stick Bluetooth on instead, even though DD isn’t there.

Thewolvesarerunningagain · 04/09/2022 22:37

CBeebies book at bedtime, though for entirely the wrong reasons. I remember James McAvoy reading one and, looking straight to camera, he asked 'do you have your nightclothes on? Brushed your teeth?' and I swear to God I had a moment there.
