What children's TV do you actually enjoy?

We're loving the Nick Cope Popcast at the moment. It's such a lovely, calm programme. He seems like a genuinely nice man (son of actor Kenneth Cope), not over the top like other presenters. Love the songs. I actually really enjoy it and I can't say that about too many children's programmes.

Have about you?

Aww no mention of pocoyo (very sweet and engaging with no annoying noises) or octonauts! I don't mind peppa or cocomelon though, or paw patrol. It's just that blippi that winds me up really!

Stupidbonfire · 04/09/2022 19:09

Bluey , as someone else said half our family and friends’in jokes’ are Bluey related. Bum worms!!!!

for older children cbbc has some brilliant dramas which DH and I also enjoyed.
So Akward
Mystic
Silver Point are all very well done.

and don’t forget the brilliant brilliant Horrible Histories. The songs episodes are fantastic

Another vote for bluey (see username) and love Nick Cope!
Lizard is our favourite closely followed by Valerie the vampire (loves in a haunted house behind the ring road)

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 04/09/2022 19:22

I used to love octonauts. Ds2 was obsessed. We had it series linked on the youview box to record and saved all the Christmas specials. It was very traumatic when the box blew up and we had to get a new one and lost all the specials!

Is it still churning out new episodes or out is just repeats these days? Ds2 is 10 so it has been a while. We had loads of the gups and the octopod. He would spend hours in the bath with his gups.

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 04/09/2022 19:23

Horrible Histories is of course fantastic too. The songs are brilliant.

Ben and Holly
Bluey
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is surprisingly good, even the annoying Pinkie Pie has depth.

And Horrible Histories, which I watch by myself quite often (and not just because Mathew Baynton is amazing).

IHopeYouStepOnALegPiece · 04/09/2022 19:39

The Odd Squad on Netflix. 8&6yo love it and it’s a genuinely good watch!

Somethingsnappy · 04/09/2022 19:42

The comments about Pepps Pig made me laugh! How they came with a disclaimer 😁

I like Hilda.

MikeWozniaksMohawk · 04/09/2022 19:47

100% Bluey. Would watch it without the kids around. It’s incredible.

I also sometimes put Charlie Chalk on YT for my 1 year old, I loved I'd when I was a child.
