How close is your nearest airport?

Mine is just under 10 miles away.

4 miles but it's currently having some sort of review because it's not making money and there's talk of it closing.

8.7km. We live just off the flight path so can see the planes coming into land quite close up. But at least they are not directly overhead.

To answer all the whys - why not?

I like living near an airport and watching the planes but it's a smaller airport and I can't reach all the places I'd like to. I was thinking a lot of people probably don't live that near an airport. I asked for holiday advice the other day and realised that France, other than Paris, and most parts of Italy are totally out of the equation from my local.

To anyone who wonders why anyone would find it interesting maybe consider other people have different interests to yours. Maybe also considering that you are wasting your own time posting on something you don't find interesting just to get a reaction.

Yorkshire?

30 miles to the nearest airport but it’s an awful journey on cross country roads so takes at least an hour to get there. Next nearest is more like 45 miles away but down the motorway so much quicker and definitely my preference as it’s a lovely airport.
