For me it was last night as I was sat in my Pjs at 8pm, binge watching Lucifer, eating crumpets and drinking alcohol free prosecco (pregnant with DD3)

I'm 27 😂🤦‍♀️

When my very lovely work colleague described me as her work mum - and I realised that I am old enough to be - in my head I’m still in my 20’s like her!

When a colleague thought I was 10 years older than I actually am because I'm so mature, reliable and mummsy 😅

When I saw a skater girl sitting on the floor outside our local supermarket and my first thought was, ‘She’ll get piles.’

I was told you would get piles by leaning with your bum against a warm radiator!

You just can't win, can you?

When I made my younger colleagues wet themselves laughing by misreading a text from my daughter. She'd written "I love you < 3" and I was a bit miffed that she loved me "less than three".

What does that message mean?!

What does that message mean?!

The "<3" is supposed to be a heart on its side, they tell me.

Onebreathmore · 01/09/2022 08:49

@PieceofKate Thanks Kate. That sure isn’t obvious!

When I took absolute joy in completely defrosting my freezer. My husband has never satisfied me the way that did.

You need a new husband!

When I got really excited about cut-price Birkenstocks on holiday. Nothing fires me up like a bit of arch support! 😂

Festoonlights · 01/09/2022 09:24

When ordering bird seed became more of a priority than anything from Net a Porter....🐦

mondaytosunday · 01/09/2022 12:46

When the Tesco delivery guy asked if I had grandkids. My children were 9 and 11 at the time.
No wait - an estate agent once asked me if the 40 year old builder I had brought with me to view a flat was my son! I was 50. He almost lost the sale right there and then.
I really do not look like an old hag - I actually look not bad for my age.....

@Ineedwinenow I think the word trendy hasn’t been used for about 25 years :) when I started thinking well they look too young to be a Doctor, Police Officer etc.

exactly my point! I don’t even know cool language anymore! A young family member said something about peng and pang a couple for years ago now but I have absolutely no idea what that meant 😆

When I want a cup of tea after a few drinks rather that shots.

EllieRosesMammy · 01/09/2022 20:46

Well tonight I'm in the bath, eating an ice cream sundae and complaining to myself at the neighbours barking dog 👀😂

When I bought my first copy of Wisden cricket almanac and loved reading through all the pages of scorecards & statistics.
